Nice comfy boots , seem to be waterproof but haven't really been tested as yet .early days but only time will tell having said my last two pairs have been dewalt and I've had no problems with them .

They're alright for the summer, but my god are they good in the winter! At the kind of price I paid for these (£83.33 Sept 2017), I would expect to get a damn good lifespan out of them. When they arrived, even the box radiated quality. They're fantastically comfy and fit well at my usual size (no need to scale up), then fit even better with wool socks/hiking socks. They're breathable and keep the water out - hallelujah!I do a lot of dog walking everyday with occasional digging in the garden and I need a shoe that can stand up to a lot of trekking over rough/muddy terrain and these more than fit the bill. I was buying £40/£60 pound shoes and they would only last around 12 months before completely falling apart.I wasn't expecting it, but I think they're steel-toed as well because they're rock hard at the end. I find them heavy (you'll definitely feel the difference switching to your usual casual shoes) but light as far as these sort of boots go, I guess. Given the choice, I don't know if I'd do super long hiking up mountains in then, I'd opt for something a bit lighter. It's a bit like wearing boots fused with wellies as the bottom is exactly that - a proprietary(?) rubber compound - presumably something derived or containing latex (hence the naming).I did notice a defect (a few bubbles) here and there which will no doubt cause it to break down over time but hopefully this isn't an issue for at least a good few years. My last pair of hiking boots lasted over a decade with occasional use by comparison.I've seen similar dewalt boots for around half the price at screwfix though (perhaps a cheaper/less flashy option from the same manufacturer), so I would keep your eyes peeled for those. I think I would opt for this next time and get myself 2 pairs for the same price :P

They are good but!
Updated Review:Colour issue aside they are a comfortable boot with next to no break in period. However they are not quite waterproof but are almost, I wear these on my bike to work in all weathers and several times it was heavy rain and the boot surface got instantly wet and would change colour and while my feet where dry but when left to dry over night I could feel dampness on the inside the following morning. So as good a boot as they are then I would recommend to use a wax product, in my case i used 3 layers Grangers G Wax and it not only fixes the colour and makes it look more like it should but now water just runs off, in the first pic you can see the untreated boot on the left and G wax treated on the right and in the second pic you can see the waterproof difference and improvementOriginal review:They look decently made and are very comfortable but will fully test waterproofness and comfort when i am back at work, the only thing I am unhappy with is the colour as the image on the item page and even of the box shows a medium brown colour but in reality they are a very very light brown almost tan colour. It's not enough to return them as i need work boots but something to be mindful of if you are thinking to buy.

Brilliant boot
Just over a month wearing these on-site now, being a steel fixer I tend to kick a lot of metal and steel cable throughout a normal day and the boot has performed exceptionally well. Working on the Luton Dart in harsh conditions with a lot of mud, the boot stayed dry even with water submerging the entire toe cap. I would recommend these as a product to look out for however in all honesty I would expect the boot only to last 7-9 months before they’ll be knackered which is really only a 2/3 month improvement on the cheaper dewalt challengers. If you can get over the price the boot is excellent and very comfortable, it’s a sturdy shoe and wears well with crouching and walking long distances through rough terrain, the ankle support is however low but haven’t yet rolled my ankle (touch wood).

Best Steel Toe Boots!
I’m a mechanic and have been wearing DeWalt hammer boots for the last 10 years.I’ve now been wearing these for a year and can happily say these are the best boots I’ve owned. They are slightly heavier than the hammer boots but the build quality and comfort is second to none. The goretex style lining is lush keeps feet warm and dry. Highly recommended. The seller is great also

Best boot possible
Have tried over a dozen similar boots from all the other brands, this one is the very best, definitely top of the range. Extremely comfortable straight out of the box and just gets better as you wear them. Very comfortable heel, feel absolutely solid when on, extremely tough, great laces, look good, very warm, actually a joy to wear. I feel like no expense has been spared when manufacturing these and all the best technology is in them, easy 10 out of 10. If they ever wear out I'll buy another pair, you've found the best boots, just pay the extra and enjoy!
