Astrology for Dummies is a great introduction to the complex subject of astrology. The author, Rae Orion, makes the subject accessible to a complete novice like myself. There are many interesting and useful explanations of topics in the subject, including some web addresses of free natal chart websites and contact details of experts who retail great astrology software. I strongly recommend this as casting natal charts and calculating transits is highly complex. I strongly recommend this book

I find the advice in this production helpful, humorous, down to earth and thoroughly up-to-date. It is clear and concise on all points, and should help the would be astrologer in everyway that he needs. I have this book on Kindle where it meets my needs. It has a list of contents, but some reader/students may find a hardback product5ion easier for finding particular references

Great book and so easy to follow. I think it’s good for anyone whose just starting out in Astrology though as some of this I’ve already covered.

Makes an interesting reading though.

Ive been studying astrology since i was about 15 years old (im 23 now). I started studying whatever i wanted to, so naturally i jumped around the subjects, moving onto advanced topics before i had the basics down. This is a great book for just that, It will literally take you to square one. Naturally, this book cant tell you everything, such as how to apply astrology in everyday life, as well as more complicated topics, but if your looking for that first stepping stone to open up the world of astrology for you, this is a perfect choice. Its also layed out nicely, and contains little tid-bits ive never even heard of! And not to mention, its written well and in common language. I didnt once get lost about what something was. Great beginners choice or if your looking to brush up on your basics!

I am fairly new to the study of astrology and I found this book to be an excellent starting point. It is well laid out and very logical and easy to understand - each chapter builds on the next. It is great to use in combination with the free astrological charts you can get online. It's a useful stepping stone into the world of astrology.
