InfaPower Home Battery Charger for AA/AAA/PP3 9V batteries with 2 x 9V (PP3) Digimax batteries

I bought this product as I didn't want a more sophisticated charger which might reject some of my batteries. It was as described, but on first use emitted an alarming crackling noise as if it might catch fire. I emailed the supplier who admitted that this shouldn't happen and asked me to test it again without batteries inserted and also with different batteries. It still sounded awful and I conveyed this information to the supplier, expecting them to send me a new one without further fuss. But they insisted I send the object back at a cost to me of £2.20 postage. So my charger cost me some 20% more than it should have done.The replacement charger works ok, but I would advise any purchaser to beware of suppliers on Amazon who do not operate the free returns package which Amazon itself offers. I hate to think what cost I would have incurred if susequent chargers didn't work.

The battery charger is ok but a little slow. It doesn't give an indication of charging is complete but that seems common with many such chargers. The problem was with the batteries coming with it. I bought it for use with PP3s. Although those provided have an excellent capacity they do not hold their charge. They'll self discharge over just a few days. Not so good.

I have used this charger certainly no more than 10 times since I bought it and it has already failed. It no longer lights up or charges batteries.Complete waste of money.The description was misleading, it had said: auto cut off. (now been updated to simply remove this claim, so that's good anyway...)RPTL have since stated:As a good practice, the charger should be unplugged and the batteries should be removed after the batteries are fully charged. This is an economical charger and it is unable to detect charging stayus. The timer-protection is a safety feature to prevent batteries for seriously overcharged. Please do not rely it as a automatic cut off as batteries can be over-charged and damaged.

Batteries received with item one was corroded

Delivered on time through the post and they seem to work fine. Have only done a couple of recharging cycles on the batteries.Excellent price compared to buying in the shops and the come to you saving you time.Bought together with an extra pack of AAA batteries, also performing well.

Cannot tell whether 9v batteries are charging or not as the red lights only work on AA batteries. Put 9v Infapower battery in my TENS machine and it burnt the unit out. I'm not happy with the product and I'll never buy Infapower products again.

This charger will just keep charging until you unplug it. I'm not happy to use it in case I forget to unplug it and the battery explodes. I should have paid attention to the poor reviews

Does the job albeit slowly but can't tell when the batteries are charged, led indicators should change colour or something to let me know.
