Golden Blonde Henné Color

I used red henna for years when I was younger, now completely grey I wanted to steer clear of all the chemicals in hair dyes, but didn't want to be unnaturally red either.Wasn't sure if this golden blonde henna would work, but it has covered all the grey, leaving it a very natural looking blonde, I am delighted especially as I was getting a bit fed up with the ash blonde of the permanent rinse, which always looked a bit mousy.There were instructions in the box, I didn't see them til later, I simply mixed a small amount in a plastic bowl with a little water to make a stiff paste then added some conditioner to make it easier to handle, wearing vinyl gloves I scooped it onto my head and rubbed it in all over, wiped off the excess along the hair-line with a damp cloth then went and had a cup of tea, leaving my grand daughter to worry about how I would cope with green hair! An hour later I rinsed it off and dried it and am simply delighted.It smelt that typical henna smell, which is 100% better than a chemical rinse, it didn't stain anything, unlike a chemical dye, and because I mixed it fairly stiff it didn't run down my neck whilst I waited. Also, although I have shoulder length hair I only used about a tablespoon of the powder, as it is so easy to mix more if you need it. I weighed the bag after I had used it and it still weighed 97 grams, although that includes the bag, it is obvious that I used very little, so keeping my hair glossy and coloured is not going to be the expense it used to be! I actually bought the 2x100 grams pack for £7.99. Now that has to be a real bargain!

I've never used henna before this but I researched ways to do it properly and read thr instructions to make sure I didn't mess it up. However, none of the dyeing properties worked with my hair (black/brown curly afro).What it did do was group my curls into a locs that were painful tangled and hard to comb out and dried out my hair for like the next week.Would not try this company's brand again neither would I recommend to anyone.

Didn't quite know what to expect from this, quality and colour wise but I wasn't disappointed.I wasn't particularly fussed about the colour as long as it didn't change my current hair colour too much. The aim of it was to get something that would improve the quality of my hair at least a bit and make it more manageable. I have waist length hair that I've bleached and dyed at home several times, hence the bad condition and why I wanted to do something about it. It did just that, improved how it felt and looked. My hair is easier to brush, isn't as dry and brittle. It does wash out with time but over all it does a really good job of keeping my hair healthy looking.The powder itself is easy to mix and transfer on to your head. I went for around 50g of it and mixed it in a glass jar with warm water. Good tip I recommend is adding the water bit by bit, stirring it really well and then leaving for a couple of minutes while you get everything ready. Check the mixture again and if it's too thick add more water. If it's too thick it will be harder to spread and wash out (I know from personal experience unfortunately), at the same time if you make it too runny you'll end up with more mixture down your back than on your head.I left it for four hours since I wasn't after the colour but the improved hair condition. I have brown roots which fade into the part with dye but no bleach and then that goes into the part where I have bleached my hair several times and dyed it. It did dye the different part in different ways. My brown roots ended up with light highlights which made the transition into the next part a lot smoother and nicer. The dyed part ended up with a bit of a red/brown tone to and bleached part ended up a bit more yellow. Now I'm a bit weird in the sense that I actually liked the red, orange and yellow tones that got added into my hair. If you have light hair and don't want it to colour your hair too much, don't leave it in as long and to help you the pack comes with recommended times and mixing instructions.In the mix it is primarily natural Henna (Senna/Cassia) followed by rhubarb extract, chamomile, rosemary and finally Henna. The natural and original Henna give the benefits of making your hair feel and look better, the others help to neutralise the red of the Henna so you get more a golden/yellow colour. If you want to be really safe you can get some chamomile tea and use a strong brew of that instead of warm water.I do like this blend and it is easy and hassle free to use (for the most part). The quality of the powder seems good and makes your hair feel and look much better, even if you originally have hair that's in good condition. If that's what you're wanting from this along with potential highlights or slight colour change, then this is perfect. However, I don't know if I'd buy it again. I don't mind a bit of fuss so in the future I will be buying neutral and original Henna and using chamomile tea to neutralise the red tones, only probably to this being is I need to experiment to see what proportions I need of everything.

I have been using henna powder for about 3 years now. It is messy to apply but is easier if you add some conditioner to the product. It coats the hair so won't make it lighter, but it does make the hair thicker and stronger. I have fair hair and find the golden blonde henna lightly covers any grey, without drastically changing the colour of my hair. I use it about once a month and leave it on for about an hour to make my hair thicker and healthier. I would recommend it to anyone with fine hair.

Not as effective at covering small pieces of grey as the loose powder. But it was a nice colour, easy to use.

I used this on light bleached hair. I followed the instructions, but it left me with an unsightly yellow shade. Hair feels slightly softer, but I can't tell if that's the expensive shampoo I had to use to scrub it all out! Would not use again!

It's smells like a swamp and is horrid to put on hair. I only needed half the packet but to late after it was mixed!It did lighten my roots and in good condition, tinted the grey. Ordering two packets. Kinder and no funny colour in this heatwave. No brassy blonde!

Olá!Comprei este produto por ser natural e estar descrito que cobre cabelos brancos, mas infelizmente não.Eu uso Henna há uns 3 anos, sempre obtive o resultado esperado, mas esta marca me decepcionou. Segui as instruções conforme está na descrição do produto e não tive o resultado desejado, uma pena!

Solo 3 stelle perché nella confezione non ci sono né guanti, ne cuffietta nè alcuna istruzione per l’utilizzo. Quindi oggi lo ho utilizzato come un altro henné che avevo comprato tempo fa allo stesso prezzo. Il risultato, dopo 2h30’ di applicazione è stato che i capelli sono morbidi e puliti, più spessì (io sono liscia liscia) e sicuramente più belli da vedere. Da castana chiara quale sono però non vedo nè riflessi dorati nè ciocche bionde. Il colore tutto sommato è quello mio di sempre. Forse avrei dovuto tenere l’impacco in testa più tempo? Ah... se avessi avuto le istruzioni forse avrei trovato scritto qualcosa di utile.

J'avais commandé ce henné pour éclaircir un peu mes cheveux. J'ai appliqué 4 h pour que le henné prend bien. Ben rien du tout même pas un reflet. Pourtant j'ai pas les cheveux noir. Clairement je ne reprendrai pas du tout ce henné, vraiment dommage 😥 si je savais ce résultat je l'aurais pas acheté
