Vintage Air 61005-VUZ-A Gen II Super Cooler with Standard Control

I have installed several Vintage Air products over the years and always find the quality to be top notch. I installed this system on a 1968 Chevy Truck which went without too much effort. This unit is big and took up a lot of space on passenger side. I installed it forward toward passenger seat which will allow for feet to go behind unit if one has long legs. It consumed dang near all of glove box with vent hoses. No need to even think about trying to put cardboard inner container back into glove box, not worth the effort for such a small amount of storage now. Nothing surprising on install, worked as expected, cools well thus far. Unit does not blow as hard as I had expected but should be enough to keep cab cool in summer, I hope. Heater valve was stuck closed, but finally did open and provide heat. No further sticking of valve as of yet.Update August 2018. The heater valves are stuck open. Once engines warms, cooling obviously drops. I put a $5 valve from Lowe's in the heater water line in the glove box. Problem shoved. Not worth the expense if changing electronic valves. I understand this is a common issue.

This is the Cadillac of aftermarket A/C no doubt. However it does not come with the controls as shown or as said in the description. I bought this because it came with the controls. Very disappointing. But the unit is very good for sure.
