I was very happy to obtain this modern classic — The cast includes some major actors — It reminds me of a Faulkner novel by portraying the worst of human nature in the Deep South (eg, NO in this case) — Plus, the main character is flawed, albeit trying for some redemption.

This movie stands on it's own as well is one of my favorite flicks. Dont want to give this one away but I can promise you if you like a different type of drama then you will love all the subject matter this movie covers.It has an outstanding cast, is written well and will give you a back road type of ride thru New Orleans subject matter and real life situations. I think it would best be called a crime drama.Love it!

I thought this movie was pretty good. It is very likeable to the south and things that could happen in this culture.Billy Bob did a good job as did the other actors. The movie does have several plots to it which makes it anentertaining movie.

This was a very intriguing story and kept me interested from start to finish! Great acting and always great to see Selma Ward and enjoyed Deana Carter! Billy Bob Thornton made his character very real and Patricia Aurquette was superb!
