SLUGTERRA Entry Blaster and Slug Ammo-Kord's Blaster

Perfect for the young slugterra fan, looks like the gun from the show. only con would be that there is not an actual trigger like nerf guns but instead you have to pull the plunger back and release to fire the slugs. A small child may be unable to fire the gun or have difficulty firing the gun because it can be hard to pull it back, also even when fired by me they do not fly super far again when compared to nerf guns. But still this is an awesome product that my son never puts down (we have this one and the Eli Shane orange gun). These guns plus the 10 pack of slugs worked out perfectly.

My sons are huge fans of the Slugterra cartoon, so they were thrilled to get blasters. The slugs don't really shot very far or fast, bummer for my 8 year old son, but a happy momma here. Though my son was still happy with this blaster. Then he realized he could use nerf bullets in it and then he was thrilled! This blaster is a lot of fun with slugs or foam bullets.

If you have a kid that is an avid fan, then the gun works great! Sure Nerf guns are easier to use and cheaper, but they don't shoot slugs. :-) Read the other reviews and decide for yourself. It is different from what you would expect. The trigger is for show only. Pull the bolt back and shove it forward as best you can and it shoots pretty good. I was fortunate in that this gun gets slightly "stuck" in the back position and my kid can pop it hard. Shoots pretty good. Good luck

My Son recently became a Slugterra fan so he really craved this Slugterra blaster to add to his collection of toy guns. He has a variety of NERF and other branded guns that he loves to play with. When he opened the package he was extremely excited. The Blaster looks true to the cartoon images and it even comes with a mini poster and code for some online play. Unfortunately the blaster is really poor as a toy. You fire the blaster by pulling out the plunger in the back and releasing it. No trigger action at all. The Slugs do have faces that are familiar from the cartoon but they are very weak and sloppy to fire. The gun fires the slug not more than 8-10 feet and with a very weak force that can only be described as "lame" by anyone who has seen a NERF gun fire 20 feet or more. There is no chance of having any type of competitive play with this gun as it simply does not fire far enough or with any type of speed or force. Another point worth noting is that it only comes with 2 slugs (not 5 like the description states). I notified Amazon about this so hopefully the description will be changed.With all that being said, if your child is a Slugterra fan (like my Son) they will still enjoy having this gun but once the Slugterra fascination is over I doubt they will ever play with this again. A Nerf Gun is a far better toy at a similar price.
