Damascus Steel Axe Hatchet Head

I couldn't be happier, right out of the box its stunning even when slathered in that thick oil. Be careful, it does come sharp (we all know those edges where its "promised" to be sharp, but this thing actually has a decent edge.) The patterns you could just look at all day, and it is a beefy thing. I can't wait to get it fitted with a handle and put it to use!

I did appreciate the craftsmanship. It is certainly very sharp. I made a very serviceable hunting axe that should be in use for decades.

Made a handle for it, craftsmanship seemed good. The only complaint I have is the handle slot could be a bit larger but we will see how it holds up through use. I used a piece of oak 2x4 rough cut and widdled it down, shaped it with various tools. This summer during camping season we will see how it holds up.

I got this for my man for Christmas because he loves Viking folklore and weaponry. The blade is beautiful and he loved it. Now we just have to get a cool handle for it. It was straight, no problem with that as others have said with their reviews

Fantastic, holds an edge well. I have felled a few trees with it. If you make a haft for it, make sure the wood you use is straight.

This is star quality! The hardness of the blade is perfect. I laid this on an 1/2 bolt and hit it ten times with a 4lb sledge hammer. It did not even roll but it did cut into the bolt. Fantastic is all I can say.

Theres two visible cracks all the way through the metal right where you are supposed to put a handle the hole for a handle to fit is terrible it's to small to fit anything remotely sturdy unless you plan on welding it to a pipe or something seeing this now I'm dissatisfied and highly disappointed. I expected so much better for the money I paid this is something you shouldn't pay more than 20 bucks for and even then I'd expect it to not be cracked wont be trusting that entire stores products because the pictures dont even match the description, now obviously Damascus steel is just a mixture of steels and different design are to be expected but the cast used to make this will always create the same or damn near same axe head and the on picture 3 where it shows the whole it shows more of a round large hole for the handle that is because the hole on the picture is different due to the picture being manipulated for advertisements purpose overall this looks like something I can buy from China for a tenth of the price then again I might get better quality from China but for all you that read this to the very end its ultimately your choice to buy this junk or not and satisfaction is to each and his own to decide so take a chance at your own behest. Best of luck to those that still choose to make the purchase but I've had mine for 2 hours now and felt the need to inform before I even filed for the refund speaking of which hope this helps/saves someone from a poor choice, you know what they say a smart man learns from his mistakes but a wise man learns from the mistakes made by others around him so yeah time to file for my refund!
