Tough little pump
We bought this to build a little fountain for our hummingbirds. The different spray nozzles give you options, and the pump setup is versatile - we tried it in a couple of different bases, and will likely try a third this year. The solar battery gives it a longer running time on days when the sun is dipping between clouds or giving diffused light, but it does not run at night. We didn't expect it to, and we're happy with how well it's performing.

Replacement stopped working after 3 weeks
It took a couple of weeks after delivery before I installed due to travel plans. It ran great for 4 days. It stopped and will not start. It was not out of water (it has an auto stop when there is no water but it has water). The filter is not clogged. The solar panel is in the sun. I bought this because of the battery storage so it would run longer on cloudy days and longer after sunset. Now it doesn’t run at all. I will contact them for a money back return. We’ll see how that goes.I just looked at the Amazon site and I found what should have been a link to “product support”. There is just the highlighted words but no link. Reading other reviews I see this happened more then once.I’d like at least a replacement from Amazon.UPDATE: with no problems, this was replaced through Amazon’s return/replace option. I had not even boxed up the non-working one when the replacement was shipped and arrived today. Hopefully this one will work longer then 4 days.________________________________Well, the replacement worked for about 3 weeks and then just stopped. Plenty of sun. Plenty of water. No fountain. I made sure the filter was clean. Hose was clear. Pump was under water. Nothing. This time, I would like a refund and am happy to return it again.

So far so good
I wanted a small solar fountain that would keep on running when a cloud passed over, unlike my first fountain that didn't have a battery backup and shut down immediately when the slightest cloud crossed over the solar panel. This one fit the bill and so far has worked perfectly. I don't actually know how long the battery will power the fountain without a recharge of sunshine, but have observed it running for at least several hours on days when the sun has disappeared behind the clouds. It usually runs down overnight, from what I've seen, but that's not a problem for me. This set comes with everything I wanted, including some plastic tubing which I needed to set up my particular fountain. I'm very pleased so far, after over a month of flawless flowing.

REVISED: Not that bad
NOTE THAT I REVISED THIS AFTER FIDDLING WITH IT FOR A FEW DAYS=============================Here are the pros:The pump works right away! The solar power section is extremely sensitive - even in shade (it's evening here and the sun is no longer hitting the yard, yet the pump is working away albeit at reduced power). The cons:Where do I start? The instructions are pictures of parts with weird names like W1 or S2a and TINY PICTURES showing how you might put the fountain part together. The stake that the solar panels attaches to is *extremely* difficult to put together because the little plastic wedgie thing on the stake that slips into the slot on the solar panel *does not fit*. I tried for a half hour, with every conceivable orientation, to get it in. Finally I sprayed the wedgie thing with WD-40, and after a lot more wiggling, got it in.The pump assembly is weird but it kinda snapped together after about ten tries to make it snug. But here's where I gave the device a single star - the tubing that comes with this device *does not fit the pump*. The hole to attach the tube is about 1/16" too big. There is nothing in the two bags of parts that does anything to connect the tube. I resorted to using duct tape and it holds it in, but duct tape isn't really waterproof and I would expect it's going to degrade over time and loosen. I'm going to have to figure a way to connect it that's semi permanent without just gluing it on.I assembled it as a concept fountain to see what I need to get to put it together, and I'm glad I did that because I was way over-confident of the ease of assembly. After more than an hour working in the humid afternoon, I was ready to just send it all back.Except that, when it's connected, even with WD-40 and duct tape, it's running very well, better than I expected.I'm wondering if the pump assembly is just not the right size for the tubing and parts. I can't just get a bigger tube because then all the fountain / spray attachments won't fit.I gave this ONE STAR for its terrible assembly instructions and actual assembly. The illustrations are nearly meaningless, and the fact that the tube *does not fit on the pump* makes this a THUMBS DOWN for me.However, an extra star for the performance of the device - far better than I expected. Therefore, I give this TWO STARS with this warning:Do not purchase unless you are going to spend some time at the hardware store looking for parts that will fix the issues with the assembly. If you're handy, then this is a good deal.====== REVISED ========I spent another few hours with it trying different assembly methods, and I got it to work. I abandoned the tubing entirely for now, and I'm just using the float. With the float and the tiny tube going through the float, there is a constant stream of water. I was able to attach a few of the different spray options, and while some of the illustration in the TINY ILLUSTRATIONS don't seem to work at all, what I did get to work worked well. And with the battery back up this thing goes for a while after the sun sets, which is nice when relaxing on the patio.FOUR STARS (barely) because it does work, but goodness the instructions are *TERRIBLE* and the assembly will take many hours of trial and error.

Not worth a crumpet
This product was supposed to be capable of pumping up to a 1 mtr head, but even at 900mm it didn’t have the capability. It was actually useless.

No real flow
Wont give you any pressure above 40cm and that's on a Brite sunny day. Very disappointed.

Didn’t do the job
This fountain is tiny and does not shoot water the height it says. Very disappointed, have sent it back but it cost me nearly $40 to return. So annoyed.
