Stratton Ballpoint Pen - Silver with black Scroll Effect

I promised myself, on my 50th I would treat myself to a more up-market pen, rather than the make do regular biros that i have been used to for many years. After much deliberation, pain-staking tooing and throwing, I decided on the Stratton Ballpoint Pen-Silver with black Scroll Effect, thinking at the time, (and still do) how stylish and sleek it looked.I was thrilled when my self-birthday present arrived without any delays or complications in the delivery. The pen has a satisfactory weight to it. and writing with it, again quite satisfactory.However, handling it is another story, (for some reason) it's nigh impossible to gain a firm grip with it. it slides between the fingers, which is more than just a bit annoying.....The section at the bottom end of the shaft, which you twist to open and close the ball-point becomes loose far too frequently, believe me when I say, "far too frequently".So I tighten it, as any reasonable person would.Only to find, that the twisting part of the shaft, doesn't seem to fit properly. I have resorted to using a rubber glove, to keep a firm grip.I do wish I had spent another £10.00 and purchased the pen a really wanted.
