A little and personal overview of "Resident Evil 4 HD (PC DVD)" available for PC Introduction If you are into "gaming", then you'll probably know "Resident Evil 4" It is a fan favorite and it has been praised as one of the best games of the entire franchise! Almost 10 years later, Capcom re-release this classic in a revisited HD update for the PC... Is this upgrade worthy of attention ? Let's find out! Pros + Smooth and stable "1080p & 60fps" + You'll get the "complete" edition with the Ada Wong chapter + RE4 is still a lenghty and interesting game + With the pre-order (at least on steam) you can get a digital archive (with concept arts, story, etc.) and the complete digital soundtrack (over 60 tracks!) Cons - The price isn't exactly fair - The overall HD quality is not that great (you can still see some differences from the SD edition with textures, lights, various effects, etc.) - I felt the necessity of using a gamepad (the 360 pad works perfectly) - The game mechanics feels somewhat dated - I had some problems with the audio (mainly out of sync dialogues) In conclusion, RE4 HD is a good opportunity for those who never picked up this game before! The "veterans" of this game won't find anything new in this edition. My advice is to pick up this version under 10£!

Unfortunately my introduction to the Resident Evil series was RE6. I say unfortunately because that is a truly 5 star game which left me wanting more. I had anticipated that the series would have been improved over the years but the difference is startling. RE4, at least the PC version, is a slow clunky horror. Character control and aiming is abysmal. Given there's only a few years between the two games, it feels like light years. Don't buy. 2 weeks later Have revised my opinion. RE4 is a good game. Nevertheless the PC controls are still awful. If you can imagine being attacked from the side and behind and only being able to turn using the direction keys you can see why playing on a PC is frustrating. I can understand why console owners like it though. If you can live with the lack of mouse control (really no excuse in a game released in 2005) then I would recommend it.

5 stars for the game, 0 stars for the physical copy. Completely pointless. Absolutely nothing installed from the disk, had to download the entire game through Steam after entering the code which came in the case. I may aswell have just bought it on there in the first place.

I played this game 2 times on my PS2. Now I have played the first chapters on PC and it is also also on PC an excellent game. I play it with my Logitech Rumblepad and cannot wait to continue.

What more can you say? As always one of the top games ever, and it hasn't aged with it's high def sheen! I've had this on the gamecube before, it still plays extremely well. very highly recommended! Five stars all the way!! *****

Not recommended for windows 10 unless you like your gameplay in real slooooooow motion.
