Best Pet Dishes I've Found
These are great for my cats and small dogs. The conclaved food dishes work great with kibble as it all goes to the center of dish as they eat. No waiting for you to move the food out from the sides. Zero whisker fatigue too.The gentle ridges of the dish help to keep wet food from moving to the outer edges so no messy floor to clean. They wash and dry like a charm. They are sturdy but may not hold up to bring dropped.

Exactly what I needed
It took be forever to find the exact food bowls I needed and these were it. They are the next whisker friendly bowls that I have found and easy to clean. Not much aesthetics but definitely makes up for it in function.

Very happy so far
Loving these bowls. They’re much easier to clean than the silicone/rubber type puzzle mats that I was using as slow feeders before. These bowls don’t slow down my cats quite as much, but apparently it’s enough, because they haven’t thrown up after eating.

sturdy, easy to clean, no whisker fatique
These are great. They are sturdy but light weight. The rings in the metal make them great as slow-feeders (slows your pet down while eating so they don't make themselves sick and also keeps food from being pushed out of the bowl by food aggressive pets). I recommend for dry food but not for soft food or broths because of the rings- they make it difficult to get soft food out of the grooves. The rubber mats for underneath keep the bowls from slipping around on the floor. The only drawback is that there is a small cut-away area on the side - it allows air to get under the bowl and keeps it dry but kibble can also get knocked in there. This can be really entertaining if you like watching your cat attempt to get the kibble out of there but not if you don't want to see your cat going insane until they get the kibble. This is a set that comes with two bowls. Because the bowls are low and side, cats don't get "whisker fatigue" from their whiskers rubbing against the side of a deeper dish. Not recommended for water. Easy to clean - just be sure to dry completely.

Cat Guru “Torus” is better
With this dish, the bits of food Cat D noses off the rim of the bowl get trapped by the CatGuru “Table”’s rim & I have to separate both pieces to scoop perfectly good food back into Cat D’s dish. With the Cat Guru “Torus”, that problem disappears. Twice the price though, and available in one color though, so I hope CatGuru restocks VERY soon!I adore this dish because it came in a pair so I could get started with the new concept of product matching ‘feeding mat’, ‘table’ to elevate, ‘dish that doesn’t touch sensitive whiskers’.Cats A and C also have minor whisker sensitivity issues, but we’re content to lump it and shrug it in life. Then we got a new, young, newbie, with whiskers so sensitive he was getting weird and jumpy. I tried a few solutions of tilted and ‘no-spill’ but they were imperfect fixes. CatGuru makes Cat D: “HAPPY”.Spunky and playful again, instead of needlessly concerned about food issues other cats don’t give a tail-flick about (like his obsessive ownership of a particular dish: other cats honor it and don’t give a tail-flick about his weirdness either way - it’s important to him, right? ‘Whatever.’)However: As to Catguru’s claims about each bowl holding ONLY enough for 1 cat/1 day: if you trust that, you will overfeed your cat. Yes: even if he’s a big guy.Right now I refill every 1.5 to 2 days, and 3 bowls are good enough for 4 cats, including ‘a big guy’.Usually when I “refill”, I’m just scooping perfectly good, unused food off the ‘place setting’ mat (with an amazing ridge to keep the tossed food from going everywhere - that actually works for all but one or two kernels from a giant pile bulldozed (nose-dozed?) by a cat!) and from the edges of the rim of the elevated ‘Table’ and dropping them back into the bowl for another day and a half!!The Cat Guru system inadvertently plays a Dieter’s Optical Illusion Trick to make an over-eater “Think” he’s eaten 1.5 cups of dry food, when it’s more like 1/3 - 1/4 cup!!I’m actively trying to calm down Cat D’s fear that The Food Will All Vanish! If he doesn’t eat it right away upon refill - at the same time that I’m trying to help his whiskers not feel uncomfortably over-stimulated: in that way; in the Optical Illusion Mind Trick, does this dish help Cat D to eat less. But it has nothing to do with how much or how little the dish actually holds, at least at my house, with my wonderful animals.

Works for little dogs, too!
My chihuahua mix is still in the habit of taking his food elsewhere sometimes, but he will actually sit and eat at his bowl now, too, which tells me these dishes relieve his whisker fatigue. The ceramic ones are lovely and easy to clean, and mine arrived without any damage. I don't find that these bowls hold enough water, so I just got him bigger stainless steel water bowls - unlike with kibble, water can't be left in the corners of the bowls, so that seems to be a good solution for him. The two pack is still handy so I can swap his bowl for a clean one when it's time to wash it, and it doesn't hurt to have a spare in case it does break. My dog is an exceptionally tidy eater, but the ridges do seem to keep the kibble from sliding off the dish, for what it's worth.
