Sebastião Salgado: 0 (Photofile)

Again this is part of a collection of photo books, the images are very impresive although lost when spead over two pages, they loose impact. This book is also missing some of his amazing landscape works and chooses to focus on his human plight images, as shame as his landscape work is out standing. Glad I have this book but will by the large "Genius of Sebastiao".

This is a very handy, tiny but effective, overview of Salgado's work. It covers his different subject matters he's so well known for and also a good retrospective. The one thing that I have to inevitably point out is that some of the photos really, really need a larger medium than this Photofile edition. The quality is very good, though and the amount of text that accompanies the reproductions is quite optimal. Once you go through this cute little volume, you'll definitely develop quite an appetite for his work :)
