This is great - easy to install except for the 100' trench I had to dig! lol.
Just dug a small trench, laid the detector and the wire in it and hooked it up to the Mule motherboard - following instructions in my Gate Opener manual - the information included with the detector did not include instructions for my new Mule MW361 gate opener board. It's a great device - even opens the gate for my Polaris Ranger side by side.

Came quickly, worked well
Installed as per instructions and it worked perfect. Mower or dirt bike opens the gate, but that's fine for me

Excellent opener
I took this to UK. Same item was 4X the cost of this in uk. I installed it as an exit opener for a gate. It had to be buried 12" deep and about 2' from the driveway. The 100' cord is long enough for my app and it works like a charm. The driveway is on a secluded property and there is a metal fence on the other side and had no interference. I would not recommend this for small properties where the neighbors driveway or roads are close by.

Dies every couple of years, just accept it
Like most people, once you get the thing working it seems to behave for a couple of years (1 to 5 years) and then it dies - randomly opening your gate. It's like a MightyMule subscription service - you'll just need to shell out $150 every 1 to 5 years if you want your gate to work reliably. I'm on my 3rd sensor and trying increasingly ridiculous things to try to extend the life (sealing it in a pipe, etc.) - but so far it just seems random when it dies.

Works perfectly with Gate Expert opener
This seemed a bit pricey to me, but it is very well built and works perfectly, so you get what you pay for. I connected it to a Gatexpert AT1350 sliding gate opener and it works perfectly. The cable is heavy duty and suitable for direct burial, but I put it in PVC conduit anyway to ensure no issues. The hook up is straight forward, just 4 wires. Trenching 12" deep is the hardest part, but that would be necessary for any quality vehicle sensor.

Mysteriously opens at odd times.
Works as intended most often. I just don't like how it will open at odd times when no one is around. I will have to remove as I can't trust it to keep my animals in the yard.

Nice Addition to the Gates!
Bought this one before I realised there was a wireless option, so this one has to be trenched in, but easy enough if you rent a trencher. I did it by hand. Works great! The instructions say to have it a farther distance out from the gate than the amount of cable it came with, so I just went as far as the cable allows and have had no problems with it. I had to trouble shoot initially because there is an extra wire, not in my instructions, but found a different set online that accounted for it. So far has been working great, nice to just drive up and have the gates open for you.

Works okay
Sensing. It works with Mighty Mule gate opener but hard to rate because unable to operate gate as expected.

Read all reviews, sensitivity all over the place
Had to return it, hooked it all up, was really sensitive gate opened spontaneously, even hooked up a potentiometer as per other reviews and no improvement. Bought the more expensive CP4 sensor and had zero issues. Spend the extra money on a quality sensor save yourself the headache
