I have played the quick game with my children several times and it is quite fun. The rules however are not as simple to read as they could be. The wording is overly complicated for such a simple game. So much so that my family and I have yet to play the tournament game because we are unable to understand how to keep score. I also felt like there should have been twice as many cards and more variation of colors for the gems (there are two different gems that are both brown). I do however like the box, it is very sturdy and stays closed properly.

I got this for my son for Christmas (he's 16) and we've been playing it several times since then. Here are my thoughts...1. Physically, the game is basically just a deck of cards (54 cards) so not terribly impressive, and a bit pricey for what it is.2. It was pretty easy to learn to play. Only the "tournament" mode is worth playing.3. It does have some limited strategy, so it's a bit more than just the luck of which card comes up. So, pretty good there.4. Playing to 150 (tournament mode) goes very quickly, and to get to 150, you have to reshuffle the discard pile and all previously played cards at least once (and maybe more than once) to get to the end of the game.5. I think the game would be greatly improved if you played to a bigger number (300?) and if the deck were 3 or 4 times as big so that you weren't reshuffling constantly.6. There are different shapes and colors, but two of the colors are practically impossible to tell apart (orange and red). Fortunately, the different shapes help you figure that out.All that said, we've had some fun playing the game, but don't think it will end up being one of our favorites.

We really tried to like this game...butMy problems are 1) the price especially for very few cards should be less than $5, 2) way too many 2's for the very few cards. We even tried reshuffling played matches so we could play for more than a few minutes but it didn't change the problem of only drawing 2's.

I love how this game is competitive yet still so fun while involving cognitive skills. It reminds me of Gin Rummy only better! I love playing this game with my family. It is my go-to game for our family on game night!
