This is a must for the Canon printer. I tried another brand, and unfortunately, my printer rejected the blue ink cartridge. I'm not sure why, but my printer only printed in black afterwards. Instead of having my MF642 printer repaired, I decided to upgrade to the MF656 printer. I have an MF642 printer for the right person who would have it repaired.

I have decided to go with the Cannon brand toner. I have tried unbranded toner and they worked great at first but when they got down to 40% they started putting streaks on the pages.

i have tried generic toner, but they do not work as well, nor produce the same quality as the OEM.

Genuine Canon toner cartridges and easy to replaced. Printing better with these than with "compatible" toner cartridges.
