This is really too small to go on the top of a house, but I mounted it on the top of a gate post and it looks great. We typically get what are called Devil Winds this time of year, but so far it has been able to withstand that wind.

It's a scraggly old crow...but we have a lot of them passing thru Hot Springs --a good omen.Vane was super easy to assemble, perfect size, look I wanted, spins with a touch of wind. I'd have to believe their other designs are made just as well.

Note, no pole comes with this. I mounted ours on a 1x2 pole. The crow is pretty and follows even a slight breeze.

Had to get two sets to place on top of my outdoor bistro set. Sturdy and easy to install.

If you want a WORKING weather vane, this IS NOT for you. After installing this perfectly level and in the proper compass direction, the crow will only move if it is in an EF 1 tornado wind! (Over 80 mph) Installed as it came out of the box... nothing. Used graphite lube, kinda spun... with help. Used aircraft door lube, spun a bit more freely. Only moved when pushed with a stick! All hyperbole aside, this weather vane only moved in wind GUSTS of 20+ mph. As the review title suggests, it looks good, but that's it. Seriously wondering how long before it rusts and starts looking horrible? Unless you don't care if this is functional, PASS on this.
