I bought this to connect a Lavalier mic. It does not work. There is a mic pic indicating you plug in a mic on 1 side and or headphones on the other but look at the ad pic and it just shows 2 headphone connections. I tried several things and it does not work. I thought about sending it back but that cost $5+ and this costs $13. I would just be throwing $7 away so I'm gonna keep it for something. It is not worth the money and it does not do what it's suppose too.Update: I was disappointed that this did not work BUT I was pleasantly surprised when Jarrod at Extrasensory Devices emailed me with concern. Great customer care. He offered to give me a FULL refund with s&h included AND send me an adapter that would better suit my needs. I had already ordered the RED splitter that I discovered was what I needed and that works for an external mic input. This works perfectly and I love that one side supports a mic while the other only outputs audio. I use this on my XboxONE controller so that I can use my headset to communicate etc. and my wife can tap in and hear the chat. On the Xbox 360 you could have the audio come through the TV but not the case on the Xbox one. This solved the issue; she does not play but likes to hear the conversations with our friends.

The reason I purchased this splitter was for live streaming to twitch. I wanted to split the audio from my controller to my computer and to my headset. Now my viewers can hear my party. Traditional splitters would allow this same thing, except I would not be able to communicate with my party.I am thankful that I found this product. It works great.

Unreliable connection (on the male end). Works if you fiddle with it but ultimately it is completely unacceptable. I would fiddle with it and then then the recipient would hear me perfectly, but then a second later, it would go muddy again. I also bought the red version and it was exactly the same. Wasted money.

I use this at the office. One person is talking on the phone (soft phone) and another person can listen to both sides of the call.

Got it yesterday. Intended for use on the Wii U console allowing a guest and myself to plug in phone ear plugs and the head set so we could both hear but I can talk playing COD-BO. Last night my wife and I had a conference call and it also plugs into my cell phone with 2 ear buds. Worked perfect!

Works great, I use this device backwards. I plug this device into my microphone stereo headset's "line in" port then I plug the microphone cord into my phone and the other cord into my device so I can use my microphone stereo headset to talk on my phone while watching something on my tablet or listening to music
