When Maisie's friend Alice is sent off to boarding school the girls decide that Alice will hang her blue bonnet in her window if she needs Maisie urgently. When one day Maisie sees the secret signal she goes into the boarding school only to find that Alice has gone missing and no one knows where Alice is. Maisie goes off in hot pursuit to retrieve Alice only to find the mystery is deeper - someone has been stealing items from the boarders and blaming the servants for the thefts. Maisie goes undercover at the boarding school to get to the bottom of this mystery. Can she get to the bottom of what's happening or will Maisie too fall victim to the cunning thief?Excellent story in a good series. Lots of fun.Recommended.

My daughter loves all the Maisie stories but this one is her favourite. A real page turner.
