WATSONS EXHIBIT - MDF 6 Shelf Glass Wall Display Cabinet - Black

Been looking for a while to house this collection for my son not a lot on the market little expensive for what they apart from that really happy with them

I had been searching for a wall display unit for some time that looked like this, so as soon as I found it I snapped one up, boy do I regret it.If I’d of known the complete nightmare this thing was going to cause I would have stayed well clear. Nothing about it was right. The pre-drilled holes did not line up with the back board at all (what was the person who drilled them smoking at the time?), the screws supplied for said holes were too big, and the screws supplied for the mounting brackets were to small! The glass door was too small for the entire unit by 3mm, so fell forwards out of the sliding grooves. The glass shelves were also too short for their holders.Luckily my father is very handy with fixing things up, so I’ve given it to him to try and fix the problems. Really only because I was not able to return it as all our local Hermes drop off points would not accept an item of that size or weight, which is also not Hermes’ fault, it’s the shops being unwilling to store it.So I cant recommend people buy this item at all, even though there’s a lot of positive reviews having had no issues. I’m sure it’s great if you get what you wanted, but if you’re unlucky enough to get a defective one it’s bad… but that’s what you get if you buy a “cheap” one, I suppose.

MDF rather than wood, and holes drilled in wrong places made assembly much more painful than it should have been. Paint scratches very easily. I had low expectations, and it lived up to them.

Expensive for what it is and the glass slides in from either the left or right hand side so you have to allow double the width of the cabinet to be able to use it. Would have been better if the glass lifted in and out.

Las baldas quedan algo cortas aunque se sujetan, los acabados de los huecos donde se insertan las baldas tienen los bordes con muchas irregularidades sobre las que se han pintado. Compré dos vitrinas, una de ellas estaba mejor que la otra que en un canto exterior tenía una astilla levantada. Me voy a quedar con ellas porque me sirven aunque el acabado es manifiestamente mejorable.

Poco más me puedo extender sobre lo dicho en el titulo: Solo apta para colección de cosas pequeñas: tiene muy poco fondo. Yo quería poner maquetas y no me caben casi ninguna, si bien es cierto que la información del producto daba las dimensiones.
