Zombie Cajun "Lagniappe" Hot Pepper Sauce (6oz)- Best Bottle Of Gourmet, Louisiana, Extra Thick And Spicy, Jalapeno & Cayenne Pepper Mash for Injector Recipes, Grilling and Marinades

I happened to see this sauce in Amazon's suggested items area as they seem to always be trying to sell me more stuff for some reason which can be somewhat annoying with some of the silly suggestions they come up with. No Amazon, I do not require any ladies nylons, I do not know why you keep suggesting that to me! This time, I am eternally thankful that they are persistent in their quest to sell me stuff and my compulsive buying habits as this sauce is just downright amazing. I am a fan of hot food. Not necessarily Man v Food Ghost Pepper hot, more of a this is really dang hot but there is a TON of flavor as well kind of hot. So while this sauce doesn't fit into the really dang hot category as it's fairly mild for my tastes, the flavor is phenomenal! Absolutely PHENOMENAL! There is just so much delicious flavor packed into this little jar it really shocked me. I've tried many many hot sauces before but none of them have ever made me feel like the juice of several fresh peppers has been drizzled over whatever I'm eating by the hand of Zeus himself solely for my culinary enjoyment. I enjoy this so much I've actually stopped putting ketchup and mustard on my burgers and instead I simply pour a bunch of this sauce on there. BBQ sauce on a chicken breast? Nope. Just this slightly spicy nectar of the God's. Again, this is really not that hot at all (it is rated a 3 on the manufacturers scale on the bottle), and even my wife actually loves it as well and she does not like anything to be that terribly spicy. The enjoyment of this comes purely from it adding a nice tinge of heat and a literal metric crap ton of flavor. I already ordered their level 10, called The Antidote and found that quite tasty as well although I still actually kind of prefer this. Or sometimes I mix the two and get the best of both worlds. I also ordered their original flavor and am still waiting on that to come. Another big selling point for me is the fact that while most sauces have a LOAD of sodium in them, this has far less than average. I think (bottle is at home) a tsp has 1% of your DV vs Tapatio for instance which has 5% per tsp. Only thing I would like to see from this company is for them to release a sauce that tastes like this but a 6 or 7 on the heat scale. My only problem with this sauce is I finished my trial bottle before the set of 4 I ordered came, so I was forced to go back to normal non-Godly sauces until my order arrives. Bottom line is, if you are searching for a delicious hot sauce that will change your life and could very possibly make you a better person, then please meet my friend Lagniappe!

I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my husband and my sons. I wasn't expecting too much because it was inexpensive. Truly, I bought it because they're all into zombies. We were all pleasantly surprised by the taste. I was pleasantly surprised by the owner of the company. He emailed to follow up on his product and ask for any and all suggestions we had to improve it because he wants to have the best hot sauce on the market and he thanked me profusely for buying the sauce. A few days went by and he asked if we had time to try it yet, said he was in no rush, and didn't even ask me to post a review. He's all about his product and making it the best it can be.Well, they finally tried it and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. They had no suggestions to make it better because it's already fantastic. My son said maybe a bit less sugar - but that was only because it was the only suggestion he could think of to help this gentleman out. Had he not been pressed by me to think of something, he wouldn't have said it had too much sugar. All three of them love this hot sauce and I know I'll be buying it again when they run out.great product, great company, great customer service. Give them a try. I think you'll be quite satisfied.(and no, I wasn't paid to post this rave review. It really rocks!)

Hi Ricky, Received the sauce, didn't realize I ordered a mild one My wife and I like the hot ones with good taste and the heat grows on you. the Lagniappe is good, I like the taste, it sort of has a taste of Cajun and sea food ,its good on sharp cheese on a saltine cracker I'll keep on sampling it and it will be Enjoyed!! I originally was able to try this because I bought my wife the Zombie Gift Basket Set (http://www.amazon.com/Zombie-Cajun-Gourmet-Louisiana-Seasonings/dp/B00G6I14Y6/ref=sr_1_1?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1434987967&sr=1-1), and this was the least dangerous of the collection for me. Because I'm a total spice baby. Don't judge me.The closest thing I can compare this to is Frank's Red Hot sauce (Frank's is way more vinegary, just for reference), except this stuff is really, really delicious. Really. It's more of a mildly spicy, garlic vinegar sauce that is so addictive, I can't eat pizza without it now. As a matter of fact, I order pizza just so I have a good reason to get into the sauce.Even my wife, who is on a mission to find a sauce hot enough to melt her face, admitted this is really good. It's been disappearing a bit faster than it should, so I think she's sneaking it when I'm not around.If you like the idea of hot sauce but don't have the tastebud fortitude for it, or you're just looking to add some awesome flavor to your food, get this. Get it now.

The Lagniappe (which stands for a little more) Hot Pepper Sauce has a perfect balance of both heat and flavor. The heat level is just a tad mellower than the Zombie Cajun but like it’s cousin, the flavor is rich and thick. Even though it’s not as hot as some it still adds a buzz to whatever you’re eating or drinking. Lagniappe is the sauce to break out when you are surrounded by folks who are a little shy when it comes to hot sauces. The drawback is that you’ll have a hard time getting the bottle back from them. The positive side is that you created another lover of the Zombie Cajun line of hot sauces. Once you’re bitten by the Zombie, you can’t go back.

Unfortunately, it arrived with the bottom of the plastic bottle cracked, it was packed securely in bubble wrap when I took it out of the box. When it was unopened it smelled good, but we chose not to eat it.

It was an ok flavor. Not sure I would reorder.
