Rambo (Extended Cut) (Steelbook) [Blu-ray]

When I first saw this version of this film I was impressed. Gives whole new depth into the Rambo character. He's not just rescuing some woman in distress, he's giving it all up to go home on her advise, just a soon as he rescues her & her group of course. Almost a different film to the theatrical release. I personally think this edit should have been labelled 'Alternative Cut' rather then Extended but anyway, onto this Steel Book release:Excellent picture. Excellent sound. All the extras as with the previous releases + the 'To Hell & Back' you get with the US version of this Blu-ray: brilliant....Until the scenes in the film with subtitles.... NO ENGLISH SUBTITLES AVAILABLE! So during such scenes, e.g. The Burmese pirate attack, You have no idea what they're saying, unless you can read Dutch (which can be turned off) or speak Burmese. Disappointing 'cause other than this issue it's a glorious package. Real shame as this should have been the standard global release from the start.

Argue-ably the best of the 'RAMBO' series; notwithstanding graphic (disturbing) violent scenes of carnage! Although the film itself is fictional; it sadly reflects what is happening in "the real world", in certain parts of the globe. Not a film intended for the faint-hearted or for those who abhor violent film contents!Steelbook arrived in perfect condition (as advertised on amazon.co.uk) and it's an excellent addition to MONDO "RAMBO First Blood - Part 1" and STUDIOCANAL / Zavvi "RAMBO First Blood - Part II" SBs already owned.

Wow I had dvd first steelbook Rambo which was 1 hour 27 minutes so I told let's try Rambo Extended Cut on blu ray was longer than dvd version which is 1 hour 39 minutes. When I watched first time on dvd the movie was short and finish quick I think the Extended Cut is much better to watch.

I was never happy with Rambo 2 and 3 as they were more like Boys Own adventures than the hard edge film of the original So it was a pleasure to watch this excellent but brutal film. It doesn't pull any punches and at 90 minutes doesn't outstay it's welcome.Roger Shore

a great movie super violent and actually a good movie,the dutch steelbooks are slightly different from other steelbooks,they have a lovelly finish but like all steelies they scratch real easy,have purchased about six dutch steelbooks and are really happy with them,they dont apear on amazon mutch but when they do snap em up :)

totally great copy of my favorite franchise movie, the lack of subtitles when the burmese speak is irritating but the packaging, dts sound and picture is brilliant... love it, looks awesome in my collection..
