Makes Burns accessible to a South Londoner.
This is a very brave, and largely successful attempt to make Burns accessible to the English. For far too long the Scots have been keeping this massive original talent all to themselves. On the page you get the poem as written on one column, then a second column giving commentary and translation of individual words. The book would have benefitted from closer proof reading and clearer layout but these are minor annoyances compared to the pleasure it has given me.

Useful tool.
A handy reference work but the print quality could be better.
