This is an excellent book for any child (or parent of a child) sitting a SATs exam. It provides a very clear and easy to read explanation for all those of us who don't know or who are unsure of all the meanings of the terms used. When practising SATs papers, children need to know all the terminology(for some strange reason!) and be able to give examples or underline correct meanings in sentences. Eg: relative clauses, subordinating conjunctions, all the different tenses etc. It is an excellent little, no-nonsense book and I would recommend it to anybody to have as a useful reference book.

This is the second time I’ve bought this book. It’s a really handy reference for teachers. My first copy I gifted to a PGCE student I was mentoring, then had to buy another copy. Great for supporting subject knowledge when moving to a new department, good examples for use with year five and six. Very helpful for supporting teaching assistants with their subject knowledge. Comprehensive and easy to understand.

This book covers all aspects of grammar for primary school, it is well laid out and easy to read. Would highly recommend.

Simple and easy to use. I Bought this to support my own understanding for an exam. It didn't include everything I needed, but it was quite useful.

This book was recommended by school teachers to help with revision for year 6 Sats tests. It helps explain all of the grammar that wasn't taught when I was at school

Bought for my daughter for her to help my granddaughter. It hasn't been a great success but that may be more because she doesn't really want to study the grammar, rather than the book not being good. I haven't seen it personally.
