Noisier than expected and i e not as fast as thought
Trying to add data not covered in other reviews.I checked noise because it does seam louder than expected. Counter has tile backsplash and stone top sitting under upper cabinets. I think this is what is amplifying the noise level.80db at counter within 3’72db 6’ away and 64db 12’. We have open kitchen into living spaces so it is noticeable white noiseFirst cubes within 10 min. Fills tray nicely but one of my concerns was melting i e since the plastic tray is not insulated. I feel this is a shortfall trade off because it looks amazing on the counterUsing distilled water i go theough 1/2 a bottle a day but when ice is in demand ive found the machine cant keep up. So the 25lb fits budget and counter space but i think production and ice melting are the two trade offsDoes it meet the need for hosting? Yes if you start it first thing in am. I have started moving some of the ice to tge freezer.Would i buy this maker or recommend. Absolutely. It will eventually make its way to my camper and ill be upgrading because it makes ice so nice. Ive always heard sonic ice but no going back now. Ive turned off my refrigerator machine. Thus is the perfect priced entrance level machine imo. I will be getting the larger quantity but same size ice. This review is using the large i w setting only

Still working
I lived without an icemaker for 5.5 years after the built in feeezer model died and couldn't be fixed. I didn't buy a small ice appliance because all the horrendous reviews: I thought it would be a waste of money. But this year, I decided I deserved ice. And I'm glad I did! I waited to review this icemaker until I had used it for a few months, and it has worked well. I have no illusions that any of these machines will have any longevity, and I have resigned myself to having to buy a new small icemaker every year. but so far so good. An alarm when it's full of ice or out of water would be nice, but it's functional without those features. I use filtered water. I do not run it constantly as many people do with this type of icemaker (I don't want to listen to the clunking); I put the ice cubes in zipper bags in the freezer to make them harder. The taste is fine. Maybe some day I'll splurge on a compressor model, but for now I'm happy to have ice even though I may have to buy a new one in a few more months.

Inexpensive Ice Machine
It's louder than I expected, but not that bad (wife complained). None of the documentation tells you how much water it holds;I found it to be around 6 cups, They expect you to use the ice basket with it installed to see where to fill it. At the same time you can't add water with ice in the basket, and if you remove it to add water there's no indication of how much to put in. Drawing a line on the inside of the machine would have made this much easier. All in all not a bad unit, but don't expect to fill a cooler with it.

Very Nice Ice Machine
Makes ice pretty quickly. You can choose the size of the ice. Automatic shut off if you run out of water. Fits on my counter nicely. My only gripe is the fact that if you don't stay on top of it and forget to grab the ice, the ice starts to melt. Would love an upgrade next time to make the ice stay cold.

Love, love, love this.
This machine is great for use with one or two people. You will be waiting a bit between drinks if there are more. The only thing I found is that it ice keeps getting caught at the top so it stops making ice and what ice there is melts a bit. I just push the ice down everytime I walk past it. Turn it off at night so it doesn't keep running and first thing I turn on in the morning.
