Don't buy this product
This is by far the worst product I have ever bought on Amazon and I urge everyone not to buy it. I thought I was buying two ten foot sturdy shade sail poles. What I got was eight separate pipes that screw into riveted metal insert. One pole went together fairly easily. The other four sections were bent and could not be put together at all. I ended up using an eight foot 1/2 inch diameter galvanized steel pipe, which I inserted into the four bent pipes and I used gorilla tape to hold everything together. That pole is still standing. The other pole that went together correctly, snapped in half the first time a thirty mile and hour wind it. Run away from this product as fast as you can.

Better than expected
Even after reading reviews, I was surprised by the overall quality of these poles. They are actually very well made and quite heavy duty. I would recommend you replace the concrete anchors with ones that are more heavy duty. We noticed a fair amount of slippage with the anchors provided. We have 3 sail cloths attached plus LED lights. No issues so far even with some fairly heavy winds. We'll see how it goes over time.Highly recommend.

Paid $229 in May, now they sell for $109 and fell apart within 2 weeks.
AVOID: This merchant must have manipulated the reviews originally in order to justify the price of $229 which was, at the time, twice the average among the many available options for this kind of pole. The reviews were not abundant but they were good enough to compel me to spend extra on what I thought was a quality product. These are anything but. The balls on top fell off before I even installed the poles, and within two weeks, they are bending at the the joints - I expect that they will snap as soon as we get a strong wind. Biggest unredeemable rip off I've EVER encountered on Amazon and I've bought A LOT of stuff on here.

Sturdy, but slightly damaged.
Very sturdy. But due to my husbands surgery we just got around to putting them together. Several of the interlocking parts were slightly damaged where they should screw into one another to connect! My husband , luckily has the tools available to repair the damage. The box was intact. The end protectors were in place and not damaged. We presume the damage occurred at the factory.

Not Great
Not one continuous pole but four sections you twist together. Poles are cheap and bend due to height and segments. Rockback and forth in the wind. Bolts it comes with are cheap and don't work. Had to buy sturdier bolts that made me have to drill out the holes on the base bigger. Turned into a much bigger project than it needed to be.

Check all Pieces for Damage
The poles seem pretty sturdy. They come in three separate pieces so you can adjust height. It also makes it easier if your setting in concrete; which is really nice. There are rubber caps on each of the poles and separate thread attachments to attach each additional piece of pole. I didn't take the cap off of the bottom pole until after I set it in concrete -- didn't want to accidentally get concrete in it. After the concrete was set I took the caps off to attach the other poles and realized one of the poles where you attach the threaded piece was bent inward. I was able to bend it outward with pliers, but couldn't get the other pole screwed all the way in. It'll work, but some of the silver threads are showing on one of the poles. Also, the ball at the top of one of the poles was snapped off. Had to glue it back on so both poles match. I would expect better quality for what I paid for these poles. Definitely make sure all pieces screw together nicely before you get these in the ground.

Not recommended
We just put the poles up and were trying to install the sail shades. We didnt even put all the tension needed or even finally tied the sail clip or rope and the poles were bending. This came in parts, not a whole one piece pole. There is parts and then a thread that holds each piece up. Faulty product. Our poles were bending visibly almost 15-20 degrees on one side which is crazy. I think this is a waste and faulty design. Requested a refund.

Worked great!
We had to install counterforce lines to get these to not be bending, but overall they look awesome! Great poles! We poured cement into a hole, waited several days, and then bolted these to the cement.

Pole broke the first day.
Broke below the threads between connections. The wall is too thin. Disappointing.
