Overall good with a few problems...
The bag has a premium look and feel and the GRID-IT system is perfect for an obsessive organiser like me. For years I struggled with pouches, pockets and a tangled nest of cables and gadgets at the bottom a bag. This bag and system works for a frequent business/pleasure traveller like me with a moderate amount of cables and gadgets to port about. My colleagues have often commented on the design and make fun of the organisation, but they are just jealous. As others have reported, the wooden toggles on the zippers easily get lost. There's enough friction between the wood and the screws to rotate them. I contacted Cocoon about this within a few weeks of owning this bag and they sent me replacements for free. I put the new ones on but most became lost over time. Please Cocoon, put some superglue in the screw threads! After about a year of use, the left shoulder strap stitching started to tear at the top. I repaired it myself as I like the bag and didn't want to stop using it. This was the most disappointing part of owning a Cocoon.I will look at the new version of this bag and read the reviews when this one eventually dies. If the quality issues have been fixed I will get another Cocoon. If not I will cut out the GRID-IT panel and put it into a donor bag!Overall the experience has been good - even with the quality problems. The bag has been used from October 2015 until April 2018 and shows no immediate sign of expiry :)

Nice, but flawed
It's a great-looking bag, and the grid-it system is absolutely fantastic for ad-hoc organisation of all the little things which would normally be freely rolling around the bottom of your backpack. There's just enough depth in the main compartment for a water bottle, lunch box and a 15" laptop, and the front compartment has ample room for everything else.As other buyers noticed, the zipper pulls aren't securely attached when the bag arrives and will fall off fairly easily. I thankfully caught the first one before I lost it, and they simply screw on again. After tightening them all I've had no more issues.A big issue however is that, after being caught in moderate rain for about ten minutes, this bag lets heaps of water in through the seams and zippers. I had them fully closed to the bottom of the bag, and yet ended up with wet paperwork and a worryingly damp laptop. If you get caught in the rain a lot, avoid this bag, or at least buy a waterproof cover.

Pefect bag for day to day laptop and accessories
I use this daily for work and it is probably the best quality of life improvement in my day to day that I have done recently. It has room for two laptops and a tablet in the main compartment with a little room to spare. The cable compartment is large and I have two laptop power supplies with ample room for 3 battery packs and a plethora of cables and accessories. Best of all the cable compartment is a hard shell, its suitable to take a knock or two without worrying. the front compartment is a decent size for keys and passes etc and has a nice latch to hang them on.Overall it is a very high quality item and also very durable (rubbed against brick walls on the odd occasion without a mark). The adjustable straps are also a great dark chrome look that finishes it of. Even the zippers tassels are made from bamboo and the dark chrome.Only issue I have had (and its a fault of my own but is a nice heads up) I was heavy handed with one of the tassles on the main department and pulled the cap off as well as the bamboo, I lost both parts. Other than that 100% perfect bag for my day to day needs.

It was nice whilst it lasted!
What can I say, the bag is great looking and the grid-it organiser is very useful, however after 5 months of owning it, it is now absolutely ruined from nothing more than normal usage (transporting the bag in my car, then about 10 minutes carrying on the tram 2 - 3 days a week). In chronological order, the failings have been:1) A gasket-type seal has come away from the zipper on the top pocket, presumedly reducing the water resistance of the opening.2) The stitching at the top of the shoulder straps has started to stretch too much and unpick.3) All but one of the wooden covers on the zipper tabs have come off and been lost due to the end caps on the tabs breaking off.4) The main zip on the bag brakes open frequently, quite often whilst simply carrying the bag.For a bag that costs this much, any one of the above failing is disappointing; all of them together however is unacceptable!

Great sturdy bag
Great sturdy bag, Compartments are ideal size. However it's deeper than my last Cocoon bag so it is a little bit of a struggle on the Tube.

Very cheap and poor quality ! Read before buying!
I m so disapointed by Coccoon bags. The quality is really not great . The firs one I owned lasted for about a year with regular trips to a shop to fix it. The stiching kept coming off. I decided to to get a new on thinking it would get better but unfortunatly it is not. I have owned this Cocoon Graphite 15 Macbook retina bag for less than 3 month and it is already falling appart. Unless you decide to use this bag once a month I would strongly suggest to get another more reliable brand.

Four Stars
Good quality, good functionality, medium thickness, looks good. Sufficient as a day backpack.

as it could be a great bag for the MacBook
Considering the £80 cost on Amazon, the quality just isn't there. I used lightly for two days before the wooden zip tags started falling off. Shame really, as it could be a great bag for the MacBook.
