Very interesting book , I saw the movie and was interested to more about this priest. This book puts a lot of things into prospective. Definitely recommend it

Worth reading. Readable. Not too long.Good for every library. Not sensational. Informative. I'm glad I read it.Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus! Come!

We all know books are different then the movies. This one is different but it's in a good way. If you read the book and watch the movie you get insight on different perspectives.

Monsignor Stephen Rossetti has written an informative and enlightening book on Catholic exorcists. There are many insights provided, such as the following:First, demons do possess souls right now in modern times, and Catholic priests still perform exorcisms. Demonic possessions are rare, with perhaps up to 100,000 people possessed worldwide (out of a population of 8 billion).A demon can possess a person’s body, but not possess his soul, so a possessed person still has free will. But the experience of being possessed is so terrible that it makes it hard to exercise reason and free will.The first Christian exorcist was Jesus Christ, who performed many exorcisms in the New Testament.Father Gabrielle Amorth estimated that 90 percent of demonic possessions were caused by Satanists casting spells ordering demons to possess someone. They cast spells because they themselves are possessed by demons, and they do it out of hatred. The other 10 percent of demonic possessions are due to people participating in occult practices in which they invite the devil in.Exorcisms do not have to be performed in person. An exorcist can do an exorcism over the phone or using Skype. The key thing is to have the priest and the patient both praying to God to banish the demon.The most effective way of defending yourself from a demonic attack is to call upon your guardian angel for protection. Guardian angels have experience in fighting the devil, and they will fight to defend you. That’s their job.There is a lot more useful information contained in The Pope’s Exorcist, so it is well worth reading. The only thing worse than losing your mind is losing your soul, and that’s another reason to read this book.
