Popp POPE009204 4-Button Key Fob - Black

I couldn't get this to control lights via my Vera Edge. That said I am new to Home automation and this is my first project. As it wouldn't work through the hub I then decided to set this up so that the switch had primary control of two lamps that are wired in series from a 1 gang switch, using a fibaro dimmer2 in each ceiling rose. The idea was to give independant dimmer and on / off control for each lamp. The product has worked ok so far with the Fibaro dimmers and the solution has worked, however the instructions are beyond very very bad. After days of messing with the switch I finally worked out how to programme the switch and when I have compared what button sequences I used it is nothing like the instructions in the manual. That said the switch seems to be working now but I dont know how long it will last, it doesn't feel all that robust. My advice to anyone trying to use this who hasn't before is definately pair and set this up on a test bench rather than in situ, also make sure you press the buttons properly and leave about 1 second between each button press. The led on the unit does seem to change sequence after you have entered each new mode so if it hasn't changed try the button press again until it does ( none of this is in the manual ). I have since looked at the noDon switch instructions and they clearer I bought the Popp unit as it looked nicer in my opinion but I wish I bought the Nodon unit as apparently this is Vera compatible too. I can't imagine trying to programme this unit for scenes etc.

Having seen the other 2 star review here, I just wanted to add my own experience as sadly that matches what has been written. It's a good looking controller although a bit flimsy in reality. The instructions are rubbish unless you already know what you're doing. I bought mine to control pre-set scenes ...and what a nightmare! Supposedly working out of the box with Vera Edge running UI7? Not a chance! Loads of help from a UK specialist...who finally gave up. Then Vera's own support. Well it gave them a good run for their money too! After spending what seemed like mega frustrating days on this myself, it took Vera support nearly 2 hours on an international call to get it working. I was delighted. A day later, it stopped. I was cheesed off. Another call from Vera....an hour this time....and it has been working for a few weeks now....but as the Vera expert said....'I suggest you don't touch this now as it's tricky to get it going'. So there you have it...an experienced expert will probably be able to sort it out but for a layman, don't get it unless you're prepared to put a huge amount of time and effort in. Incidentally I did also buy the Nodon Octan and their Cozy White version. Neither worked immediately either but at least I could sort out myself. The Cozy White version is better than the Octan because the buttons are much harder to operate on the Octan.

Don't take too much heed of the other reviews. This is quite a find and bargain.I've integrated mine with my Smartthings hub very nicely and easily. I've used a community developed device handler and SmartApp.I've hard wired on an existing light switch with a terminal block and then removed the original switch and put this in it's place... very wife friendly then!I can now assign actions to each of the four switches the device contains... this is very powerful indeed.

Quand le produit est arrivé, la pile était complètement vide, si cela a abimé le produit cela explique peut être le fait qu'il fonctionne mal.J'ai donc mis une pile neuve, mais je n'ai jamais pu inclure ce produit dans mon réseau Zwave avec un z-stick Aeotec Gen5, en principe compatible et qui fonctionne avec d'autres modules Fibaro.Bref 43€ à la poubelle (j'ai laissé dépasser les 30j) et je ne peux donc pas recommander ce produit. Bei dem Produkt POPP HUB (011801) fehlt der Zusatz "Achtung! Bastellösung". Diesen Z-Wave Hub auf Amazon zu verkaufen, ohne diesen Zusatz ist Kundentäuschung. Der Hersteller wirbt mit „Stabile und sichere Smart Home Software“ und „Konsistente Sicherheitsarchitektur“.Die Inbetriebnahme des HUB‘s ist eine Kunst für sich und stark abhängig von der installierten Version. Wer sich nicht mit Linux oder Raspbian auskennt oder schon eigene Raspberry PI Projekte realisiert hat sollte die Finger davon lassen. Zu kämpfen hat man mit zahlreichen undefinierten Fehlermeldungen, App-Abstürzen und hängenden Browser-Webseiten. Hat man es dann irgendwann mal geschafft ins System und an die Einstellungen zu kommen, sollte man wenn angeboten als erstes eine Update auf spielen. Aber auch nach dem Update (2.3.6, vom 13.12.2017) wird man weiter mit Fehlermeldungen konfrontiert.Das Betreiben des HUB‘s ohne Internet ist nur bedingt möglich und erzeugt laufend neue Fehlermeldungen.Warum man zwangsweise eine Internet-Verbindung für einen Z-Wave HUB benötigt, an dem Sicherheitskomponenten wie Camaras Tür- und Fenstersicherungen udg. Angeschlossen werden, ist wahrscheinlich nur dem Hersteller bekannt.Das dies auch anders geht zeigt Homee. Das System ist zur auch noch nicht ganz ausgereift (da erst vor kurzem auf dem Markt erschienen), aber das ist so ziemlich das einzige Z-Wave System das ich kenne, welches Sicherheit und Privatsphäre des Nutzers respektiert. Homee kann man komplett ohne Internet in Betrieb nehmen und auch Betreiben (Wer will kann das System natürlich auch vom Internet betreiben). Update lassen sich hier offline installieren.Für diejenigen die es trotzdem versuchen wollen, hier ein paar Tips:Unbedingt sicherstellen das bei Inbetriebnahme eine Internet-Verbindung besteht.Versucht wechselweise den Einsatz der App bzw. der Konfiguration über den BrowserWenn ihr den HUB zurücksetzt (über WPS Button, siehe Doku) dann solltet, ihr auch die App löschen und neu installieren, da diese sonst eigen Einstellungen behält.Tipp für Nutzer die an Windows gewöhnt sind: Linux-Distributionen unterscheiden bei Benutzernamen zwischen Groß- und Kleinschreibung. Die App (iOS) setzt standardmäßig den ersten Buchstaben als Großbuchstaben auch wenn man die Shift-Taste nicht betätigt. Das Login Name muss für den Administrator aber „admin“ lauten (nicht Admin!)Wenn ihr es geschafft habt über das Login in das System zu gelangen und euch ein Update angeboten wird, installiert das Update.Eine genaue Vorgehensweise ist leider nicht beschreibbar, das unterschiedliche Versionsstände zu unterschiedlichen Verhaltensweisen führen.

Para empezar el mando que me ha llegado no es de la marca FIBARO por lo que no cumple con la descripción. Aunque no es FIBARO (es marca POPP) se le ve un mando bastante bien construido.Llegó con la batería de botón totalmente agotada y he tenido que comprar una nueva e instalarla.Si que se inserta en la red pero no debe de ser muy compatible por que no reacciona a ningún botón de los cuatro y eso que he probado todo: resetearlo, reescanear, etc, etc. Además con la batería nueva el sistema me dice que tiene 0% de batería.Lo devolveré ya que no se si es una unidad defectuosa.Saludos.

Funktioniert einwandfrei. Sie Einbindung in Domoticz gestaltete sich sehr einfach und er funktioniert nach etwas Script Arbeit einwandfrei. Zu beachten ist, dass es sich nicht um einen einfachen an aus Schalter handelt sondern um einen Schalter für Szenen d.h. er sendet nur "an" wenn er in ein bestehendes z-wave Netzwerk eingebunden wird.Dafür hat er allerdings auch 4 Schalter in einem welche über das Tippen auf die jeweilige Ecke aktiviert werden.Mit etwas Geschick kann man ein Script schreiben, welches beim Aufruf einer Szene schaltet und darin dann mittels: if Zielgerät == an, dann Zielgerät = aus - auch ganz normal das Ausschalten erzeugen.Wer allerdings nicht programmieren möchte sollte sich nach reinen on / off Schaltern umsehen.Im Master Modus habe ich ihn nicht getestet. Für die Vielseitigkeit und Konfigurierbarkeit sowie die Nutzung von z-wave plus gebe ich 4 Sterne. Da alles etwas komplizierter war als ich mir erhofft hatte, reicht es nicht für den 5 Stern.Ein wichtiger Hinweis: damit Änderungen an der Konfiguration übernommen werden, müssen zuerst alle 4 Button gleichzeitig gedrückt werden und dann kurz der 2 Button.
