GRÜNTEK Secateurs Flamingo, Teflon Coated Blade, Adjustable Width, Bypass Pruning Shears, Anti-Slip Handle

This is what I think... I have always bought cheap secateurs and it doesn't take long before they either go blunt very quickly or something breaks on it. So after reading the reviews on here I decided to buy a pair and immediately you can tell the difference. They are well made quite weighty in your hand which I like. They are very comfortable in your hand so if you are doing a lot of pruning your hand doesn't ache. The spring is very sturdy and strong but not too strong so you struggle to use it and it's very sharp it cuts through rose bushes like a hot knife through butter. You also get an extra spring as well which is good as I've read a couple people lost the original but mine seems very secure. Overall the best secateurs I've owned but saying that I've never owned a very expensive set then again why would I when I've got these which I'm sure will last me a very long time I'm sure. I would suggest oiling it for over the winter for a bit of protection

I bought this tool ten years' ago, and it is still working well today. The best pair of secateurs I've ever owned. They've just needed a drop of oil every other year to maintain their flexibility and to keep them cutting as new.

Having just sharpened a friends pair of secateurs, I had done some online research in case they needed replacing. I repair and refurbish quite a lot of tools and, also as a senior member of a woodland volunteer team, use and recommend various hand tools for our use. With cutting tools its all about the blade. If that's not good then no other feature of the tool can improve on this failing. I have come across a Japanese SK5 blade before in some Draper Expert Gear Action Bypass Loppers we use and it has stood up very well to constant challenging use. I had to return other similar design loppers I tried from another well known brand because the cutting blade was rolling its edge and quickly became ineffective. I can find little to criticise about the Gruntek Silvercut Profi Bypass Secateur in my initial assessment. It is well designed with no plastic parts, comfortable in my Size 9 (Large Male Glove size) hands and should on first appearance last a long time. The sliding locking catch is a little stiff but will probably ease in use. I prefer this to catches which get in the way or are loose. It is not the cheapest secateur available but at around £16 I think it is good value and compares well with far more expensive models I have come across.

Very comfy handle, impressed with Quality I only have been using for a couple of weeks impressed with ease of cut so far.

Arrived next day, opened pack, feel sturdy, definitely sharp. Tried them to cut back a few stems of my neighbours bushes that were crossing my pathway. Worked great. Thickest cut was about 13mm, no trouble at all. Locking mechanism is tight and you have to hold the handles tight together to release them which is concerning, but no problems at the moment.

Very good; sharp, non-rusting, spring-loaded. They feel like a quality item as well.

The secateurs arrived very promptly and appear to be of good quality and cut very well. Additionally, they have adjustable grip for small or large hands and are brightly coloured so they can be seen easily. Also they are good value for the money. Highly recommended, thank you.

Fatsoenlijke prijs en goed product!

Gracias a mi afición al jardín y los frutales por mis manos han pasado ya unas cuantas tijeras de poda, de las que debo ser algo exigente. Prefiero un buen corte de tijera a tener que recurrir después con remedios como las pastas selladoras de poda, los procesos desinfectantes o tratamientos fitosanitarios, etc. Y menos aún depender de los retoques de un segundo o tercer corte que repare el mal corte inicial de unas malas tijeras. Podar es algo más que cortar. Es un arte, y en ello va el buen desarrollo de una planta. Es más, podar, es saber dónde, cuándo, cómo debemos cortar para prevenir incluso las plagas. Estas tijeras GRÜNTEK cortan bien, sin gran esfuerzo, las ramas verdes del hibiscus, adelfas, etc, todo ese ramaje no muy duro hasta los 20 - 25 mm, y lo más importante, el corte es limpio y preciso. Sin embargo, y es lógico, no puedo afirmar lo mismo de las ramas verdes y duras del acebuche con el mismo calibre. Sí, las corta, pero cuesta bastante esfuerzo. Para un uso normal de jardín o poda de frutales, estas tijeras Grüntek son más que suficientes, pesan muy poco ya que son de aluminio y la cuchilla es de acero. Son tijeras todo-terreno, ideales para corte rápido y seguro en ramajes de calibre 10- 16 mm. Y sobretodo muy cómodas para mis manos grandes. Tal vez a las manos pequeñas les cueste abarcar toda su abertura. Un detalle MUY importante es la solidez y la sencillez de la estructura de estas tijeras Grüntek, muy fáciles de limpiar con lejía rebajada y jabón, (acción que recomiendo tras la poda de una planta a otra) sin forros plásticos ni "escondites" en los que las bacterias como la terrible Xilella Fastidiosa se acomodan para expandir esa nueva plaga como la pólvora. Espero pues hacer Muchos cortes, no pocos afilados, y no equivocarme. Referente al pedido, todo correcto por parte de Amazon, incluso llegó antes de tiempo. Tijeras muy recomendables.

Though it does not have mechanism to secure the tension spring I was able to device trick. I took a flexible metal wire (from a dollar store) - cut a piece 6-8 inches length - one end secured the spring- the other end secured around the main body. This way even the spring dislodged, the wire holds the pruner. In the past three times I have lost the springs. It is difficult to find the replacement Springs. This is a German made and is strong well built. I strongly recommend it.

Estoy muy sorprendida de la calidad- precio que tienen. Las llevo utilizando un tiempo y están como el primer día. Lo que más me ha impresionado es que es muy ligera comparada con otras del mercado y muy cómoda al poder ajustar la tijera al tamaño de la mano. Acostumbrada a que el resto de tijeras se fabriquen para manos de hombres talla M estas para mí (que tengo manos pequeñas y no mucha fuerza ) son una fantasía. Por fin puedo dedicarme a podar horas sin acabar dolorida al día siguiente. Tiene cierre de seguridad muy cómodo y fácil de poner quitar y muy bien ubicado comparandolo con otras tijeras que lo tienen en zonas donde se mojan, enroñan, llenan de sabías y acaban siendo una tortura de poner y quitar porque siempre están atascados. Este es muy cómodo, y rápido pero sufientemente difícil para que los niños lo abran, ( como madre de un monstruito me fijo mucho en ello) Una tijera de 10
