Philips Easy8 ironing board cover - GC020/05

Fits perfectly on the board - very happy

This was a replacement for the original Phillips ironing board cover an it's just as good if not better.

I would give this no stars if it was possible. Have bought several of these ironing board covers in the past and the fit has been satisfactory. They have revised the design and put something between the foam and the cover. The cover moves despite the strings being tight. The foam underneath stretches and I have received multiple burns trying to use it. I have reported this to Philips who have been less than helpful. Please be aware that this product is not of the quality it used to be. I do believe I am not alone in reporting this complaint. Sadly, because of the size I am off to buy a new ironing board as other covers will not fit it and I am reluctant to pay for a cover that will do exactly the same.

Would not fit our ironing board, needed one to fit a Philips 6 board but nowhere does it say this is the incorrect cover. On my board the whole thing rucks and as it does not let steam through and it has to go somewhere my hands have been pulled away sharply having been caught by the steam from under my iron.Philips customer care however have been very good with my complaints and I have now ordered the correct cover.

This cover was expensive compared with the average Ironing board cover and because of this did not seem the best value for money.

Excellent product and service

This product requires a separate felt pad to be fitted underneath it. This information is only available once the packaging has been opened. The size of the Phillips Easy8 ironing board is such that standard felt pads are either too big or too small so only a Phillips pad will suffice. Unfortunately the Phillips pad is not available from Amazon and a search of Phillips' own site does not indicate the product is available from them.
