I used these rocks to go with my cactus and they worked perfectly. Love the colors!

These rocks are wonderful for putting in my plants and I really like the assortment of colors! I included a picture in which I used them for reference 😊. They are the perfect size for potting up plants! The bag is also a generous size and I am very happy with them! My only complaint is they were not well packaged upon arrival - as in no padding - and the bag they were in tore in transit. I had to clean up a bunch of loose rocks out of my box unfortunately! I included a picture to show what I had to clean up. That is the only reason I am taking off one star - otherwise this is a great product! I would highly recommend these!

The lava rocks and gravel are about 1/5" each and are a nice, colorful mix of black, brown, ochre and green. The 5 lb. bag is excellent value.My wife loves natural materials and textures for her garden. Lava rocks are naturally formed when molten lava cools. They are very useful for potted plants since they're porous and thus help to absorb excess water and slowly release it back into the soil.My wife uses lava rocks as a decorative topping on her potted succulent plants and cacti to give them a beautiful finished look and also to slow down evaporation, retain moisture and prevent the topsoil from drying out.She also puts some of these rocks at the base of pots of her other plants to prevent root rot by improving drainage and air circulation and also to minimize soil compaction. The seller notes that these lava rocks contain weak acid, which is helpful for plants that favor weak acid like succulents, cacti and orchids. My wife also uses these lava rocks for other plants that prefer a slightly acidic soil (e.g., roses, hibiscus, hydrangeas, sweet potatoes, peppers).The bag arrived intact. Some reviewers said there bags were damaged in transit. I guess we had good luck this time on the "delivery lottery."

It came in a poor quality yellow bag that broke easily, so I put the little rocks in a plastic bucket.They are a beautiful color, drain and aerate well, and are the perfect size for my succulents and desert roses.But its price is not the cheapest.

Nice looking lava stones, which I use to mix with Cactus soil and Orchid potting mix to grow my orchids and succulents to help them permeate and breathe to avoid rotting roots. Lava stones are perfect for growing them, the only complaint is that when the product arrives the bag broke and lava stones leak inside the box.

Potted plants look pretty unpleasing sometimes on the surface, this is a nice addition! Great, reasonable price for this product. There is lots of different uses for it also. I’ve been using essential oils and this would be a nice unpowered surface to diffuse also. Colors were natural and beautiful. I enjoy having this product to use around the house. Highly recommend if you are in the market for this sort of thing!

they don't look like lava rocks to me. more like pebbles. i got them to line plant planters for drainage and for that they are fine.

Bag cane broken. Lava rocks spilled out of the bag all over the box. And, of course, the box was not completely sealed, so I lost approximately half the weight. Really annoyed.
