So excited to add Victoria to my gang!!
I’m an adult collector, and I am adddicted to the pre-reboot RH brand! My only gripe is that they ever rebranded. Being late to the party means they all cost more. That being said, details on these dolls are straight INCREDIBLE. But for a play-line doll? Unheard of- never before seen.Their thick, heavy plastic heads and bodies with articulation, inset eyes with rooted lashes, the DETAILS, the fabric, the fashions and the accessories are all so creatively thought out and well made. If I didn’t know they were made for kids & originally retailed for $25-30, I would believe it if someone told me they were a collector doll line (pre rebrand dolls only).

Gorgeous!!
This is quite possibly the prettiest doll I have seen in my 35 years. Not to mention unique with full body freckles! Even blushing on knees, wrists, elbows, neck, and bellybutton…wow. Her hair is a nice natural color for once mixing light blonde and strawberry blonde tones. Her eyes a blue green mix that is eerily life like. The lips are an interesting design choice and I’ve seen some variations in pictures with some more pronounced than others…they’ve totally grown on me though.I do worry about the fabric fraying with rough play as it is unhemmed and I’m not sure it’s treated fabric. But honestly she would look lovely in anything you want to redress her in. I miss the second outfit so much but this outfit definitely screams fashion which is the name of the series. I wish it did not come with hangers (instead have a purse or shoes or glasses??)…make it make sense. Also, she comes with makeup pallets and no brushes…make the accessories make sense please! My favorite accessory is the “working” sewing machine—this piece pushed me into buying her early—so cute!Overall I’m so impressed. I do not regret buying at full price at all and that’s saying something because I always wait for deep sales or clearance. She’s irresistible!!Edit: added a picture of the inside of the box. Honestly I don’t think it’s necessary to have such a large box and I don’t feel the inside art really matches the overall Rainbow High art style but I like the idea of the sketchiness as it matches the fashion design theme. The hair is heavily gelled and needs careful combing or a wash. The tones closely resemble Georgia Bloom’s hair (slightly less orange) and Sabrina. Super soft hair and fun to play with. Still love her out of package and played with. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a doll

What On Earth Happened??
Why is this series such a mess??Thankfully I received a doll without any facial issues. But just barely. The only reason I bought Victoria is because I cannot resist freckles. The Amazon shipping box got pancaked somewhere along the way, therefore also smashing the doll box badly. (I forgot to take photos of it.) Eventhough I usually unbox most of my dolls, I'm obviously irritated because I still keep them for storage.Value for money at this point sucks. How many mini makeup brushes, hairdryers, and now sewing machines does one need? Even for children? The phones, laptops etc I can understand/deal with, but not at the same price paid for the dolls that came with two outfits. The SH Fashion series was of course a trial run for changing things up. Except literally every single doll was executed perfectly as is their clothing. The same cannot be said for these dolls. This series is a major hot mess from the dolls themselves, to the clothing. The quality simply isn't there. And definitely not for the price!! The unboxing experience and "fun" factor for adults and children alike, is gone.MGA,, WHY break something that wasn't broken to begin with??Victoria is a lovely doll. I do love her brown eyelashes. Her skirt and top is terrible quality. That said, it goes well with her freckles. The product in her hair comes out easily with a gentle finger combing. Upon doing that, is when I noticed just how bad the hair rooting is as well as a lack of thick hair compared to other RH/SH dolls. Yes, it can be covered easily but that's not the point. There's alot of dark pink stains on this doll. And in the oddest places like her hands. I've circled all places with the dark pink stains in green in my photos. There's something off with the joints as well. Especially the arms.Lastly, what's up with the shoes for this collection?? Has anyone else also noticed? What happened to the super unique, well made, thoughtfully designed shoes!? These are quite frankly ugly, uninspiring and definitely cheap. If they were well made while I still wouldn't like them, I could deal with it. The new SH Fashion doll line shoes are next level detailed. As well as being extremely unique. Even the first series of RH dolls came with outstanding shoes. So what on earth happened??Yes I'm happy to add her to my collection, but she'll likely be my last RH/SH purchase. I'm not blown away by Victoria or Olivia.I refuse to pay for lesser quality for the price. ($52Cnd)I get the feeling that MGA is/has more or less quit production of new dolls for the time being. Their time and attention is definitely elsewhere, so this series was slapped together and rushed out the door. Such a shame because as with all past RH/SH dolls, these had massive potential to be as wonderful.Hopefully MGA is in the process of creating something amazing, or doing a re do over of the orginal 6.If you haven't seen what they accomplished with the Mermaze Mermaidz Winter Wave dolls, I highly recommend doing so! Snow globe tails filled with delightful glitter, adorable extras, GORGEOUS full hair and unique face sculpts, to the highly detailed, unique tail molds. They even come with doll stands. I have a large collection of various dolls from well known brands, to more obscure brands. These dolls might just be my absolute favorite as well as most beautiful I've ever seen! (I'm not counting Customs.) Add that these dolls are priced very fair. If you are a collector, whatever you do, DON'T sleep on the MM Winter Waves collection!! Especially now that the prices have dropped. Series one Mermaze Mermaidz are also lovely. But series two is an entire full on fantasy dream! No photos can do them justice. 🧜♀️🧜🏼♀️🧜♀️🧜🏿♀️💜Hope this helps..
