So far so great!
I did a lot of research and chose the SunQuest. I installed 8 panels by myself on the roof. The hardest part was unrolling them, even in full sun at around 80 degrees. Instructions were spot on and the kits were complete. Install with plumbing to the roof edge took me about 5 hours. The rest of the plumbing took about 3 hours total. I ran it manually for about a week before installing the Pentair controller. I connected the controller to the VS pump, installed the valve controller and set speeds and now it is completely automatic. I don't have to touch it! I'm also getting about an extra degree of pool temp per day because I was turning it off way too early.

Overall worth it
I bought 6 panels of 2X12 and put them on the shed roof near the pool, which is in-ground and 20x40. It took a while to figure out the best way to install it, for it came with many optional parts depending on the setup. However once I figured it out, was pretty easy and the water temperature definitely started going up after just a couple days. I built a basic 2x4 wood frame for it to sit on, instead of sitting directly on the roof shingles. One complaint is their website which is not helpful at all and is a very generic website. The owners manual says you can register the product on the website but that proved to not be true. I had to fill out the paper form and mail it in. Oh, also the first time I turned it on, the one panel got disconnected after 5 minutes of use. I reconnected it with the provided clamps, turned it back on. 5 minutes later it happened again. I double checked everything to make sure I didnt screw something up, then turned it back on. 5 minutes later, popped off! Long story short, the PSI on my pump-filter was on 30, I made some adjustments and got it down to 20, and it then stopped disconnecting. The owners manual says it can handle up to 50 PSI but in my experience, not true.

Great service after the sale
First the bad news. The product arrived with some damage. I contacted the seller, they responded within minutes, and send a new panel to replace the damaged one. Absolutely no hassle. Stuff happens. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I followed them, got the system running, and the next morning my pump wouldn't prime. I primed it manually, turned off the water to the panels, and it started. I contacted the company for assistance after trying a few trouble shooting options online. The tech support rep worked diligently with me, even responding on weekends and a holiday, to step by step track down the problem, which turned out to be a very small leak in a valve that was not part of the solar system. I felt that the level of knowledge and helpfulness was in the top tier of service I have ever received. The panels are working as intended! I would recommend this company highly!

Review on returns policy / performance and issues
I purchased this 6 panel solar heating kit to help heat my in-ground pool. I realistically only got a little time to use it due to constantly battling leaks. The solar heaters themselves did not leak but the connections to each panel did. The hose and clamps provided just did not cut it and they constantly came apart and leaked. One day after emptying 1,000 gallons out of my pool due to a leak I decided to return them after less than a month. 2 reasons the leaking at the connections and the poor performance. Unless you have 10hrs a day of sun every single day you get little benefit in my option. Plus, you would need 10 of these panels for a 25K gallon pool (almost 2K in panels) So, the performance wasn’t up to par and not worth the money to me anymore. Buyer Caution: Return policy states “If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it (in new/unused condition) for any reason within 30 days, for a refund of the purchase price of the product and sales tax, if applicable. It must be in its original box with contents complete, unused and in re-sell-able, as New condition or a 20% re-boxing, product verification & re-stocking fees may be applied” How do I even know if I am satisfied without testing it? Do I look at it and say nope don’t want it and send back? Also, it is at your expense! and keep the original boxes… Don’t use it! So, if you are buying this don’t plan to send it back. You get raked over the coals when you do send it for a 20-50% restocking fee…… My fee was 42% for panels that where in perfect shape upon returning them and all the connections minus the 3-way valve and some strapping / lag screws used during install. BE CAUTIOUS FOLKS. Attached are few pictures upon return I unfortunately didn’t get any installed.

SolarQuest panels hold up well
I bought these panels as replacements for ones installed in 2010. They originals held up well in spite of being placed over asphalt shingles on our porch roof. During Maine winters snow/ice pick up sand which eventually makes pinholes in the channels. No - Flex Seal will not work. Nor, the after-market plugs. Eleven years is more than I expected. Installation is also a straight forward job.

Good idea but questionable quality and tough intallation
These panels do a decent job for heating the pool in Florida where the sun is strong all day long. However the installation was not trivial and rather costly. This was partly due to the size larger than the specs. My contractor measured the width of the panel installed to be 22" not 20". Additional complication was that we could only squeeze in three, the the odd number of panels. With the odd number he needed to install and extra return pipe, to run back to the side where the intake pipe was. This was not included in the kit, he had to buy it separately at Home Depot and they only had white pipes, not black like this kit. Also the panel the quality is questionable. I purchased 3 panels and one of them started leaking within days. The manufacturer pays for the replacement but not the additional labor to get someone back on the roof and swap the good panel for the bad one. They also require pictures of the leak and the number of the part before the replacement is authorized. That means having to pay someone to go on the roof to take the requested picture of the part number.

Great value.
Easy to install, seemed good quality and raised the temp 8f in just 3 days. Can't fault the price and looks.
