THE ALL NEW NOVEL FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES MILLION-COPY BESTSELLING AUTHOR THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED FOLLOW-UP TO TIKTOK SENSATION THINGS WE NEVER GOT OVER AND 2023'S THINGS WE HIDE FROM THE LIGHT ________________________________________________________________________ There was only one woman who could set me free. But I would rather set myself on fire than ask Sloane Walton for anything. Lucian Rollins is a lean, mean vengeance-seeking mogul. Determined to erase his abusive father's mark on his family name, he spends every waking minute pulling strings and building his empire. The more money and power he gains, the safer he feels. Except when it comes to one feisty small-town librarian. Although they are bonded by a dark secret from the past and their current mutual disdain, Sloane Walton only trusts Lucian as far as she can throw him. Until their bickering accidentally turns to foreplay, fanning flames of desire that can't be put out. But with Sloane eager to start a family and Lucian refusing to even consider the idea, these enemies-to-lovers are stuck at an impasse. And when Lucian learns the hard way that leaving Sloane is impossible, he vows to do everything he can to keep her safe. Whatever the cost . . . Review: A passionate love story between friends turned frenimies and back. - Breaking trust in a relationship of any kind is like breaking a China cup,it can't be rolled or reversed back to normal or mended back to orignal under any circumstances. But what if,if the intent of breaking the trust is good and pure,if the action comes out of concern, happiness & safety of one another involved and if it's involuntary, real & natural without any interest, pretence? In such situations we see that, it's the love that overshadows the trust. "Things We Left Behind" by Lucy Score is mainly about the breaking trust for blinding love of two characters in the book, i.e., Lucian Rollins and Sloane Walton(childhood friends and neghbours) at a Place called Knockemout. It took 20 plus years for them to understand and realize the real intent, feelings and emotions for each other only when they talk and communicate, which comes out of an unexpected fling on an occasion. The trust they think was broken was not broken at all and infact they see (luckily) it as an extension of Love between them.Very subtly the reader understands the underlying love, passion ,emotions, feelings etc between the two during the course of reading which makes the reading even more intresting.Though it's the first solo book of Lucy Store that I have read,I could enjoy the book without relating to the other books in the series. The place Knockemout and the characters Sloane Walton,Lucifer Rollins,Knox,Nash,Lina,Karen etc will remain for long.Even the Late Simone Walton(Slone's dad )has his own positive impact on me. The words Protectiveness & possessiveness, though different in dictionary meaning ,here it synonyms with one word "Love" between the two.Overall a passionate Love story between friends turned frenimies and back. Review: Definitely recommended! - I can’t believe this series is over now! I’ve wanted to read Sloane and Lucian’s story ever since they were first introduced in the first book and their story did not disappoint at all. I love the chemistry and romance between our two MCs and the fact that this was a friends-to-lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers trope made me enjoy it even more. The friendships between everyone is one of the best thing in this series. I love how everyone were there for one another and this is one of the reasons why I love reading books based in small towns. The epilogue and extended epilogue made me so happy because as a fan of happily ever afters, I was so glad everyone got their happy ending. The only complain I have is that it felt kinda dragging at some point and I wanted more romance and some grovelling from Lucian but overall it was a great read and I really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for small town and enemies-to-lovers kind of book.

This was an anticipated book. I kept waiting for this from the beginning and bought it the chance i got! As expected they had a veryy distinct past the feelings involved were sooo complicated i loved sloane's character and lucian's character development he was the typical man having views on general stuffs but his development at the end was huge and i also loved seeing the other characters scenes overall loved it!💜

Brilliant! Already missing these characters
I adored this book and missed Knockemout as soon as I finished reading! Once again Lucy Score wrote a beautiful story full of romance, comedy, steam, mystery, and emotionally charged moments that are bound to bring tears to your eyes. Sloane and Lucian were great together, and he became my favorite Knockemout hero. I loved the way the whole mystery was wrapped up and that we not only got to see previous characters again (namely Nolan, Stef and Jeremiah), but also got to know new ones such as Emry and Petula. Definitely one of the best books I've read this year, I highly recommend it!

Best of them all -Lucian and Sloane Stan forever
My newest obsession, Lucian Rollins, is wow. I don't know why I was surprised by how good this was since I absolutely loved the two previous books but Lucian the emotionally damaged bad boy with a protection complex is one of the best men I've read. This really is the best modern true enemies to lovers I've ever read. They both hurt each other deeply in their teenage years and can't forgive the betrayal but also can't seem to stay away from each other. The spice was so hot that I had to pause at work to listen later. My colleagues were definitely wondering what was so extremely funny that it had me trying to stifle my laughter and failing spectacularly. The banter between these two in their cat and mouse game was delectable. The stakes were high, there was mystery and intrigue, a twist that I definitely didn't see coming, and so much sweet, sweet tension.
