Good product but too narrow for my door
First of all the adhesive is fantastic on these! Initially getting the backing off was difficult and the adhesive came off the stripping but when I finally got it going the protective backing did come off.Adhered easily and well to surface of door frame. Quality of the weather strip is strong and pliable. The door I needed it for had a larger weather strip previously and unfortunately this stripping is too narrow for it. It would work great for bottom of windows /sliding doors or areas with not much gap.

Not As Squishy As I Thought
Very high quality silicone weather stripping. Exactly as described. Aspect ratio dimentional measurements true. Length received was slightly more than 40ft all in a single role. NOT multiple roles which is a big plus!!Red tape backing is not marked or branded 3M, so not sure it is "3M brand", but still a nice layer and thickness of double sided tape with only minor red backing bubbling and separation along the length of tape. I used the role right away and product seemed " fresh" so adhesive was very sticky. I am not sure if adhesive would degrade over time in the package if you didn't use it all and tried to use 6 months from now. I would keep remaining leftover stripping in the reseal able Ziploc bag it came in.Applying was easy. I measured and cut the length needed, plus 2 inches because I didnt want to come up short. I cleaned surface, wiped down with rubbing alcohol swabs, and let dry, before applying.Working in about 6 inch increments, peal back tape and apply to surface without stretching the tape. Glue was forgiving to repositioning in 6 inch increments without losing any adhesion.I found the real trick is to NOT stretch the stripping while applying. It needs to be applied at it's natural length. I started out having a tendency to stretch the stripping to form a straight line but that put lateral tension on the adhesive tape, which is no good! After applying, I went over with a hair dryer and firmly pressed down the tape with my fingers, moving a few inches at a time. Glue bond is as strong as I expected and wanted it to be. It met my expectations.I was hoping the compression was a lot softer than it was, but it is still soft and very malleable, just not as malleable as I was hoping for, for my application. I will see if it works over time. Not a product fail! I just needed it to be real squishy/mushy!Last comment is the tape is very flexible and easy to bend around corners. Think the curve of a nickel. If I needed to do 90 degree angles, I would have V-notched the stripping shown in online videos. Stripping is very easy to cut with standard sharp scissors.I recommend and would buy again.

Solved my sound barrier issue
We have a "music room", which is attached to our living room through two, double French doors. My problem was that even when the doors were closed, my wife and I couldn't engage in our "separate sound worlds" without sound intrusion from there being no seal between the gaps in the doors. I listen to my jazz in the music room, while she watches the news in the adjacent living room.I purchased this weather stripping, plus a seal installed on the bottom of the doors. As a result, sounds from each room are significantly reduced. I'm sure it would have the same effect regarding temperature differences.A tip regarding improved adhesion: use a solution of 91% isopropyl alcohol, applied with a cotton rag or ball, prior to adhering the weather strip. It will significantly improve adhesion.

Works as intended
Nice sticky backing. My suggestion is to wipe down the door jam with an alcohol swab before applying the insulation.
