Science Time Infrared Rc Tank Toy

I have had one RC item from this same company before. My grandson loved it. He'll get this one for Christmas.

Here's the thing, when this tank works - it was super cool, and a fun project for my son and I. I'm giving it a 3 star here because we built it and got it running, and about 30 minutes later, the remote totally stopped functioning. No lights, no nothing.Perhaps fixing the remote is like a bonus "advanced" science experience? Haha. Seriously, though, I am trying to fix it. But the fact that we just got things working, and it died was a big let down for my son, cause he keeps asking to get it out drive it around, and it's broken for now. Bummer.I also have had a real difficult time finding any help fixing something like this online.At the end of the day, if you buy this and it works: it's awesome and fun. Maybe we just got unlucky. That's my take for now.
