The media could not be loaded. I purchased this product as my partner is losing her sight and needs good lighting on the stairs. We had some problems in the beginning where a power surge blew the controller, so had to contact Komigan directly for help. You can call or text their number on their website or use the chat facility (early in the morning, due to time zone difference). Their customer service is fantastic, they are so helpful and want you to be successful in the installation so that you are 100% happy with the result. They sent out a replacement controller and strip lights and now the lights work perfectly, actually better than i imagined. They look AMAZING!!!! The motion sensor is such a good feature, now we don't have to worry about lights being left on. The brightness can be adjusted to any level and the different settings on the controller mean you can adjust speed and time delays to suit your needs. The quality is superb. We are so happy with this purchase and their website has more of the individual items, which are not available on Amazon, for example strips light with aluminium casing (light bar) so you don't have to buy them separate. There is a lot of wiring needed, so i'm pleased this was carried out by my electrician who has tidied the cables under the stairs and made a box to cover the power supply. If you need a quality staircase lighting kit, this is the one to go for. It has everything you need to make it a success. The video i have uploaded shows the lights at 50% brightness. My electrician was so impressed, he said he would be using them for jobs from now on.

I've been looking at various stair lighting options and wanted something that had a motion-sensing feature. My initial plan was to install GU10 fixtures along the wall and use GU10 smart bulbs connected to a wireless motion sensor. However, this idea did not work as desired, as the smart bulbs would randomly reset and require repairing. I also had intermittent issues with the motion sensor connectivity, so it was back to the drawing board.This set of stair lights seemed a much better choice, given the LED strip lights, controller and motion sensors are all integrated (and wired). Most of the kit is plug-and-play, so installation is reasonably straightforward. I'm not confident with mains electricity, so an electrician connected the power supply. The LED strips come with 3m tape to stick on, but out of the many LED strips I have installed, all have come unstuck at some point. I now use an aluminium profile for LED tape as it's guaranteed to stay in place and looks much better. In this case, I have also carved out a channel within each step overhang so the profile slots neatly inside. It looks great.The system has so far worked well. My stairs look fantastic, and it's always great to wow my guests with them. The cascading effect looks amazing and works in both directions.Highly recommended!

I was delighted with these stair lights. Once installed they made my stairs look so cool and modern. These Lights are motion sensitive having a sensor which is fitted at the top and bottom. We found the motion detection to work brilliantly, there are a couple of light sequences to choose from, we preferred the cascade effect where once the motion sensor is triggered then the lights on the next steps come on one by one. Once the lights are triggered they stay on for a while and then automatically go off. There is enough lighting and fixing to attach these to 16 stairs, there are lots of wires and fitting takes some time but when working in conjunction with the instructions these could be fitted by either a keen DIYer or professional. My partner found them relatively easy to fit although time consuming. They are only suited to stairs that have no carpet at all or no carpet to the under lip as it hinders attachment of the light strips and wires. I found these to be of good quality using robust materials. I was really impressed and happy with these and if you have always fancied this stylish effect on your stairs I would happily recommend them!

The lights are relatively easy to set up, I’ve included a video showing one see attached and powered on when it detects motion.They would need to be installed as part of a refurbishment as there are a lot of wires to hide and would only be suitable for stairs with a overhang so the light strips can be attached on the underside.One issue I have is the power supply box. It’sa metal container which suggests it’s meant to be fitted into a wall cavity (like a plug socket), however there’s no cover for the front of it. You couldn’t leave it open, although the gate is small, it still wouldn’t be impossible for something to crawl inside it - not a good idea when there’s electricity running through it.I don’t think it would be an issue but I’d certainly feel more comfortable having some sort of cover over it. Not too much of a problem, something hung over it would do - a picture maybe?I’m giving this to my son for when he and his partner move into their new house, they plan to refurbish so it’s an ideal opportunity to install them.

To get this kit right you have to plan it out and make sure you can hide the wires and 12v 17amp power supply, plus the controller.Eatch part of this kit is quality there is no cheap parts here, the cables to the LEDs are great, after spending close to 3 days drilling hiding and boxing in, i got it working the way i like and it's just amazing, the way the lights come on one by one and it truly creates an amazing aura and definitely a talking point.I hid most of the wires, controller and power supply under the stairs in a small cab, got the 240 feed from a socket for the stair lift.overall this is an expensive kit, but if its for a new build or a newer property it's a master piece and worth the money!

I’m an electrician and have been looking for quality led stair lights, for the cost I thought these would be it but less than 12 months and the led lights have already started to fail along the strips not happy as it’s going to be really awkward to replace and will require some sort of decorating.
