Switching between desktop and laptop computers is frustrating as I don't like laptop trackpads. The Plugable 2 port hub is a simple, high quality solution as it allows me to combine both a trackball and keyboard into a single USB in this case. Switching one USB cable between desktop and laptop keeps the workflow sweet without having to change keyboard and trackball.

This USB port duplicator works perfectly, no issues with the connected devices, neither during connection nor under use. I also connected this port duplicator to an USB KVM switch and the connected devices (printer, mouse, keybord, external hard disk, or what you want) where detected by 'the computer to which I switched to' each time without any issue (occasional delays were due to the USB port, device and/or Windows, not to the USB port duplicator). The cable is short, but this is not a problem for me (the device is small and light, no problem if it's maintained suspended). Resuming, it works fine with no issues or delays, and that's all what you need from it.

well built cable to works fine for me - used in the car to allow both phone and USB Memory to be used.

How mant times have you wished you had a 2 into 1 usb plug Especially on the laptop .Well now you can with this handy 2 into 1 usb hub .Looks good the lead is short but not that short and it works It says it is high speed and I havent had any problems with slow transfers .When your finished just pop it in your pocket. It's not bulky and it's not expensive .I recommend these hubs whether you have a laptop or desk top or both. Cheers Lord Jock

As an iMac user of an older generation I finally got myself an IBM style 'clicky' keyboard to replace the flat dome-switch style that Apple makes. However, the new keyboard lacked the extra USB ports for the mouse, so this device was precisely the solution I needed. Took seconds to install and is working fine. It is nice and compact, but be aware that it is not really an extension lead of itself, being rather short.

Use this with a Mac (MBP, OSX 10.8) and has always worked very well since I bought it (a couple of months). One of the two ports is connected to a (powered) USB DAC, the other to a bus powered USB drive ( Seagate STBX500200 500GB Expansion USB 3.0 2.5 Inch Portable Hard Drive - Black ). There is sufficient power for this particular drive to work just fine, and I've never had any issues at all using the DAC via this hub {looking in "System Information", the hub has 500 mA available as expected, the DAC requires 20 mA and the external drive requires 100 mA, so there is plenty of juice}.

As you may have noticed you will not have lots of usb on the model B RPI!! This is great for plugging in your USB mouse and keyboard. I would also suggest that you get a powered 7 port usb hub for all the extras since you could get power related problems with to many things plugged in to the Raspberry Pi. It works perfect no problems I love this little addition to the RPI.

Works great. Perfect if you want to use an external DAC with an iphone/ipad. It does not need to be powered externally as well and draws power from the ipad.

Für meinen PKW brauchte ich einen zweifach USB 2 Hub. An das InfoSystem kann ich nur 2 USB-Geräte anschließen. Mit einem vierfach Hub funktionierte nicht. Mit dem 2fach Hub von Plugable Technologies USB2 funktioniert es einwandfrei.Ich kann nun einen USB-Stick Musik oder Audio anschließen und mein Handy mitdem Navigationssystem Android Auto verbinden. Ich habe damit das Navigationsytem auf dem Fahrzeug Bildschirm.

Sur ma voiture (Ds7),il y a une seule prise USB à l'avant,alors c'est soit une Usb pour la musique ou le Gsm pour Carplay. Pas pratique il faut débrancher l'un pour brancher l’autre.Renseignement pris,avec un doubleur cela ne fonctionne pas. Et la surprise tout fonctionne Carplay et la clé Usb en même temps Je recommande ce produit.
