Overall good book with a little B.S sprinkled on top of it
Overall good advice, but there's a whole bunch of pseudo-scientific nonsense and ambiguous terms like "LifeForce".For example, on page 181 Clement says:"... It has been found that playing music during the germinating process can enhance the growth and Bounty of food. Research has shown that Mozart's 5th Symphony is the most stimulating music for the growth of plants. Whether are you are present or absent, use this piece or similar works to enhance the development of your plants. Other Studies have shown that the same practice, now called "The Mozart effect", and the health of humans, including those still in the womb...."HUH? You got to be joking.This is a textbook case of KNOWN B.S yet Clement has written this in his book.If you pay attention, you'll find other ridiculous (and untrue) ideas littered throughout an otherwise decent book.

One of the Best...
This is one of the best books on eating food that provides clear direction to absolute health for your body and your life. Don't expect as much care given to its index, which has no entry for "sugar," "coffee," "smoking," or "alcohol," referred to as "addictions...which keep the body in a perpetual state of toxic shock" p 114. It's a disappointment to read a study of great usefulness and quality, not to have the same attention paid to its index.

Good book
Excellent book to help you get back on track eating a healthy diet and making healthy lifestyle choices

A wealth of Knowledge.
He spells out why we need to improve our diet in an understandable manner. His book is so much more advanced than other books. He really knows what he is talking about. His research has gone on for decades, it's his life and passion. It shows in his writings. If your battling any disease, this is a must get book. It talks about the juice formula they use at the Hippocrates institute and recipes, plus the logic behind their method.

some good information
Some good information regarding food choices and why we should emphasis a diet based mainly on plants. But the book goes off the rails a bit with an insistence on eating only 'raw food'. The book quotes some studies like the "China Study" and the "Okinawan Study" which are both plant based diets, but fails to mention that neither the Chinese nor the Okinawans actually eat their plants RAW. Yes they do eat a lot of plant based foods, but it's mostly cooked! Also the book bans all meat products, but both the Chinese and Okinawan diets include meat products, in small quantities thou. A more balanced book would be "The China Study" by Dr. T. Colin Campbell.

The modern day hero
Brian Clement at first seemed very arrogant but my views changed very quickly. His development and constant desire to feed the planet with education using natural protocols is perhaps the most advanced information out there. He is one of my favourite speakers and delivers his message with honesty and integrity. Do I have a bad word to say about this book, not in the slightest, its a must buy for anyone who takes their health seriously.

Hippocrates Life Force: Superior Health and Longevity
From one of the pioneers of Raw Food, this book gives you the reasons behind why eating this way is so good for you. Whilst it does give you a few recipes, it is more about giving you well researched information, a bibliography and references. It's a great book for those who want to understand the science behind Raw Food and health benefits, whilst exploring this fascinating area.
