Basics Fashion Design 06: Knitwear Paperback – 1 Nov. 2010

I think that there are many topics which will interest and inform students. I was dissapointed in the size. I expected A4. Instead it is slightly larger than A5. This means that the print is so small and lots of the print is onto coloured backgrounds making it a real struggle to read. The illustrations are very colourful and with lots of interesting textures.

Very pleased with this book. Slim but very informative. It will encourage me to design more. The cost was fairly high but it is worth it. Now twmoted to buy others in the series.

Fantastic book! Essential to understand knitwear! Shows the principles and more advanced and technical details!

I bought this nearly two years ago and it gave my daughter a good idea and a good guide on basics of knitwear design as she was about to begin Knitwear at CSM

This book is fantastic, and covers a vast range of categories connected with knitwear design. Everything is explained thoroughly and is easy to understand- even the more complicated aspects. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone on a knitwear design/textile course as this is very beneficial.

excellent condition and very helpful book for learning on the knitting machine, easily explained items to create, i have since created a lot of samples on my machine which being a handknitter, i never thought possible

I saw the page from this book which covers domestic knitting machines. This page states that the Brother electronic machines KH950, KH950i, KH965 and KH965i all need a special lead to communicate with a pc. this is inaccurate, as only the machines ending with an i can communicate with a PC.FOR INFO please see the Daisyknits Brother compatibility chart if you are planning on buying a machine for a college course, as there are lots of differences in the various electronic machines' capabilities.
