Powerful little saw
Bought this to trim some trees around my house. The chain blade is sharp and it performs well. The chain did pop of a few times but that was due to me not letting the saw come up to full power (taken only a few seconds) before touching the branch to be cut. Lesson learned. When fully extended it is a little top heavy but still manageable. The only thing that I don't like about it is oiling the chain. This is not automic and you have to physically push the button to oil the chain. This is a hassle when the pole is fully extended and you have to cut several branches an have to stop what you are doing to oil the chain. What I love about it that the chainsaw detaches from the pole and makes it easy to cut up the branches into small pieces. The battery lasted me a about 3 hours of on and off use and charged fully in about 30 minutes. Overall, I like it and hope it lasts a long time.

WOW ! Outstanding 2 in 1 saw
Sorry no video or pic.. Don't own a cell phone, and the batteries were dead in my camera. So here is my written review: It's a tad long. But a good full long review .I'm 5' tall female , over 60 yrs. old. Been using gas chainsaws most of my life. Run a small farm. I needed to trim my driveway canopy of trees as the big brown trucks will no longer come up.All others have no issues ! The driveway is almost 1 mile long..We/I had been using a classic curved handheld pole saw. I just didn't have it in me to do it that way anymore. But just didn't want a plain old gas pole saw or electric .This little IMOUMLIVE 2-IN-1 caught my eye and it is just outstanding ! I wish it came with a bar scabbard. But I can make one. Not really pts off the saw itself. Please folks Charge the battery first thing ! Very important !And add bar oil to the reservoir , And check the chain tension .Now remember it's new, the chain will stretch ,as with ALL chainsaws. So yes you need to check on it from time to time while in use .. I had NO issues with the chain.Did I saw how sharp the blade is ? It's awesome. After a few cuts I checked it as I would with any chainsaw that I'm using. I was very impressed with the power ! A bit of a learning curve on using one of these pole saws.If your angle is wrong they will buck.. But that is normal , I do believe.1 full charge got a tad more then 3/4 of my driveway trimmed! I'm guessing maybe about 4h that included loading up the wagon and unloading and cutting again ...Yes this first part was live tree wood. Big chips were flying .I charged it up again it took about 2h, that worked well as I needed a break. Then went and finished the rest. Still had 4 bars on the battery ! Outstanding .I went to cut some small fire wood dead standing 3"- 4"cir trees ...Removed the saw from the pole and used the hand held part. What a great feature! Please use protective gear as you would with any chainsaw. Once again it has great power, cut through dead locust like a hot knife through butter.Dead apple , dead Popular ,dead maple, dead ash .. Haven't touched the blade to sharpen it yet .She's still throwing big chips . On my 3rd charge now.. Will finish this charge out. And cut a few more small dead pole trees..Always check the oil, and hit the pump a few times in between cutting .So far I have used 3 or 4 oil tank Fulls. That seems like about the right ratio:Have had no issues filling the oil reservoir ,using what we used for the Big saws.Works great . No spillage. So, if you are looking for a nice combo saw, That's light weight, easy to use.I would say look at this , IMOUMLIVE 2-IN-1 Cordless Pole Saw & Chainsaw, 8" .Believe it's the ONLY 2 in 1 on the market!I truly have been very pleased with its performance.I can see it being useful for some camping/fishing/hunting trips as well ,If ya have the room.I do like that they give you a file, extra nut ,brush, Philips screwdriver, and wrench .Nice little tool kit..It still would have been nice if they added a scabbarded .The handle and guard is easy to install .After usage I did re-check all screws and bolts.Again just as I would with any equipment .Stay safe ,Life on a Mountain Top...

Good so far!
Have had it for a couple of weeks and used it only once, but it did a fine job. Looking at other brands, none of them had a reach as far as this one. I needed the best height, so I can trim my neighbor's cherry trees that drop a ton of cherries in out yard. First branch was about 3" thick, and it went through it like a hot knife through butter. Like the fact that the saw can be set in differnt directions, which will be handy.

OILER DOES NOT WORK
Waited a couple weeks to get this saw. It was double boxed but the post office still managed to destroy both boxes. Contents were not damaged but several parts were running loose in what was left of the box(s). Laid it out and did the minor assembly. Filled the oil reservoir and started to pump up to fill the lines and start oil flow to the chain area. Pump started to pull oil then stopped. Line appears clogged somewhere internally. Checked end of the oil line and it seemed hard and sealed with debris. Cleared some of the debris carefully but the pump will not push oil through the line. Contacted Amazon for replacement. They are going to send another saw (two more weeks) and they say they will wait to get the non working one back in the box the replacement comes in without charging me. All in all this company doesn't seem to do any (or enough) quality control checks before boxing these up for sale. Other than the oiler not working, the saw seems to be made reasonably well. Just a pain in the a** to deal with the hassle of returning it. I will update this when I get a working model but for now, not a happy customer.

Longer reach than most, super handy short saw
Excellent combo--long reach for cutting down limbs without climbing or ladders, combined with a short saw for cutting them up.Our fire department requires us to remove limbs for the 1/3 the height of the tree or 10 feet to reduce 'fire ladders'. This tool got the job done in no time. Bought an additional short saw for little more than the cost of two more batteries.Three points to note:1) Do press the oil button every couple of cuts. My son forgot and the chain seized up, adding 15 minutes to get it straightened out.2) My extra saw fell out of the back of a pickup and the top handle broke right away. Kind of brittle plastic. Still useable on the pole.3) Get extra batteries (or the short saw combo) and extra chains (kids and workers don't always know you cannot cut in dirt...) if you plan to get the job done in a day. Frustrating to have to wait on a recharge.Excellent tool for the homeowner and a safe way to introduce your children to safe chain sawing limbs on the ground with a blade that is at least eight feet from their bodies. They learn how limbs release stress or squeeze the blade during a cut and how to avoid potential kickback. Do NOT start them with the short blade model--it is way, way more dangerous!Pros will probably still want to go with a gas-power Echo for the longer reach and continuous cutting ability. I rented one for a day to get the dead branches out of the tallest trees.
