Replacement drawer runner sets to fit most makes of cabinets. MFI, Argos, Ikea, Homebase, John Lewis, Tesco, Hygena , B&Q and many more manufacturers. This type of runner fits within a groove on the side of your drawer. The width of the groove is 17mm wide. To find the runner size you need close your runner and measure this length. This does not have to be an exact match just as long as the runner is shorter than the depth of your cabinet. The longer the runner, the better the opening of the drawer. The extended length is just given as information and is not a critical dimension. This is the length of the runner when fully opened. Fixing screw kit contents: 6. 3.5 x 12mm (6 x 1/2") Pan head wood screws. 2. M4 x 10mm Pan head machine screws. We also sell 250mm and 314mm versions of this runner.

Good runners, but be careful with your measuring!
These drawer runners are excellent, very solid and smooth in operation. We used these to replace old plastic/PVC runners in our ancient bedroom furniture that we bought 32 years ago and which still looks great. Rather than trash some perfectly good (built and finished to high standards) furniture just because we'd used the drawers a lot, we opted to swap to these runners. I've no idea why reputable cabinet-makers went plastic for parts, but they sometimes did, even in stuff that was obviously going to last for ages.As replacements, a lot of the hard work has already been done for you. The old runner lines are marked out and the process just involved measuring what you need and choosing the correct runners for the job. Reading the specifications for each set of runners will quickly point you where you need to go. Our drawers have a 17mm groove along the outer sides, and it is easy enough to work out the lengths required from simply making your own measurements. The catch is this - not all drawers fit tightly into the cabinets at each side. Some have leeway. These runners have a fixed depth that may be less than the fittings you're replacing. Your new runners might have the right length into the cabinet, they might have the same height as the groove in the side of your drawer but, when they are in that groove, do they actually stick out far enough to be screwed into the cabinet sides, or are the cabinet sides too far from the drawer sides? Ours didn't span the gap, so we screwed them into the cabinet sides and fortunately they were deep enough to engage into the drawer grooves. The only real solution to this is that a small length of wood needs to be laid into the drawer grooves and fixed to the drawer so that the cabinet side and the drawer side are brought closer together. Either that or attach panels inside the cabinet sides that narrow the interior so that the runners engage properly. In our case the furniture warranted the effort and we did it, so it is a point to bear in mind. When they're in and doing their job, though, they can't be faulted.

Metal Drawer Runners
I bought a small, cheap desk from Argos because I needed something to sit art equipment on that encorporated a drawer and a cupboard. Naturally, the drawer had plastic runners that, in my experience, don't last particularly long and can be a nuisance to pull out and push in, especially as they age. I ordered these runners to replace them, being a little unsure if they would fit width-wise. If anyone is unsure (like I was), the 17mm groove is referring to the HEIGHT of the groove, not the depth. When they arrived, I had a pair of metal runners and eight screws. Being the first time I would be installing these, I was expecting some instructions or at least a quick guideline of where the screws and runners sit, but alas I had to do some digging on the internet. In the end I ended up utilising only six of the eight screws, remaining unsure where exactly they're each supposed to sit (there's two type of screws to add to the confusion). Now that I've added them (using the best I could), they're a little stiff but I suspect that'll lessen over time (or I've simply ballsed up the alignments somewhere), but they seem to have added a bit of durability to the drawer and they should last a reasonable amount of time, given their price bracket. I suspect the only other thing I would need to do now is strengthen the bottom of the drawer (given they don't last that long either). If anyone finds a set of instructions for these particular runners, I would appreciate them for future reference (or, if the supplier reads this, it would be nice to provide them or at least a small piece of paper to a website where they can be found) because I'm thinking of buying these (or at least similar) again in the future.

Drawer runners
These were direct replacement for some drawer runners which had broken. The size and holes were exactly the same as the originals and they took the original screws once again. I used a couple of the provided spare screws just to make sure it was secure. My only, very minor, gripe is that they are not as smooth as the originals. Perhaps they need running in for a bit. If that proves to be the case then I'll add another star.

Saved the cabinet
Bought a very poorly made, but quite expensive chest of drawers from one of the better know DIY stores for my teenage son's bedroom. Needless to say within two years the drawers were wrecked. Considered breaking the chest up, but then decided to attempt to resurrect it. Bought some glue, and sent off for the runners. Within a couple of days the runners arrived, and the drawers were adequately fixed. Removing the old ones took longer than installing the new ones. The new ones are supplied with screws. The drawers now work as they should do, and hopefully every couple of years I will only need to renew the runners. Excellent product, delivery, very straight forward to install.

Wardrobe Drawers Fixed!
These fixed the drawers at the bottom of a small single wardrobe originally purchased from argos several years ago. These were £2.80 per pair when I got them, so a great bargain especially compared with buying a new wardrobe! The runners that I received were slightly different from those pictured. They had a lot of holes all the way along the side that gets attached the cupboard which can be useful. The cage housing the Ball Bearings may be plastic; black not shiny metal. However they seem sturdy enough to me.I got these from Stolmet Ltd who sent them promptly and well packaged.

happy customer
Only bought one set of these to make sure they were right but they work brilliantly so I'm going to buy some more and fix all my drawers! Have an Ikea chest of drawers and they fit exactly. Have seen some reviews asking how you get them apart but you don't, you just slide them open and then fit, it took only a few minutes and now I have a working drawer again. Very happy with my purchase. Came very quickly too.
