Great quality saw,much better than expected, still to use it on a camping trip but cuts good , really impressed with this

This is a genuine working saw and not just for show, it will disassemble and break down (see Photos) but it will NOT fold down flat due to the way the blade attaches which is via 2 very small brass nuts & bolts. The rope/string looks like it is made of nylon so should be weather resistant. It cuts reasonably well but the biggest factor for this will be the type of blade and not the saw itself. I have some doubts over the strength of the brass nut and bolts holding the blade on, and I ex[ect it will be a real pain to change the blade when out in the wilds, so I will only be using this saw at home in the backyard to cut up fire wood. For the money I paid I was expecting something of far less quality so am happy with it.

Absolute beast, cut through really hard ash like it was butter leaving a clean looking cut.I bought this for medieval reenactment which will require the nylon string replaced with jute from the garden centre and the screws holding the blade replaced with pins or rivets, but both are easy jobs.The saw itself is well built and the blade is better than my much more expensive crosscut saw from a big chain hardware store.

ordered on behalf of my grandson for his bushcraft outings, loves how small it packs away, the ease of putting together, and the sharpness of the blade, it didn't eat away at his spending money too much either. he hangs it on his bedroom wall when not being used, along with his ropes etc.

Needed a bit of adjustment and definately a sand to all the woodwork (which is everything except the blade and cord obviously) to avoid splinters, but otherwise this is an okay bit of kit if you spend time in the woods. Packs down well but a bit fiddly to get the blade in place or undone as the nuts are tiny. I shall have as think about a way to resolve this but as a whole is really not bad for the money.

The blade quality is so poor that it's impossible to cut a straight line. I doubt this would be good enough for firewood. The saw frame looks and feels ready for action but let feeling disappointed

Great tool does the job cutting up wood

Decent collapsible buck saw. Would have preferred an alternative design where the blade folds inside the handles, but it still collapses fairly small. Not fond of the nylon twine used to tension the saw, so I may replace this with bank line or paracord. Came with a hardwood, rather than a green wood blade, but these are inexpensive to replace.
