Amazing device to correct posture. It has a couple of quirks.
I decided to try SBB and bought it. My posture is not bad, but sometimes I hunch my back. I wanted something that would remind me not to do that. I’ve read the reviews of Lumo Lift and Upright posture trainers and the worst thing that people complain about is that they are not accurate at determining bad posture. I was afraid that SBB may be like that too, but I’m happy to report, it is not. It is very accurate because it uses a different technology from the other two. To determine bad posture, SBB uses a tension sensor which checks how much tension there is on the straps. As I slouch this tension increases. I also really appreciate how discrete it is. When it warns me about bad posture, it gently vibrates. I can totally feel it, but you wouldn’t hear it if you’d stay close to me. A couple of issues with device are: 1 straps could be more comfortable, 2 the main unit could be a little smaller. I guess, it’s really just a matter of taste.

Futuristic looking and progress tracking I like the design of it
Futuristic looking and progress trackingI like the design of it. The main unit looks sharp – almost like some kind of Back From The Future film prop. I have bought it for my son, Jason. He is a 13-year-old “geek” who hunches his back a little too much. The SBB fit him nicely. Though, Jason was not thrilled to use it. But after we’ve had our talk, he understood that it is important to maintain good posture. The best part about the app, for me as a parent, is the ability to go back into history and see if my son, indeed, used the device. Jason also knows that he can’t cheat. If he just takes it off, the device will turn off automatically. It goes into sleep mode after 3 minutes (?) of inactivity. Also, I would like to praise the long lasting battery. I think we’ve only charged it once and it lasted like 2 weeks.

High quality product
I bought this posture brace at full price and was not sure what to expect because it had very few reviews. But I’ve investigated the company and their website and decided to go for it. I am happy that I did! I think, it’s a lot better than other posture braces, mainly because it’s “smart”Parts and Features:- well-made and very soft straps- plastic and ALUMINUM main unit- extra belts- USB cable- manualPros- It works! When I put it on, it does pull my shoulders back. I do get better posture out of it.- It’s accurate to determine when I am slouching.- The free app installed and worked fine on my Android (Galaxy s7) – no problems with paring.- I found the “how to” videos on their website very helpful. I recommend you check them out.Cons- It is expensive. But worth it for me. How much does your good posture worth?- It was not the easiest thing to assemble. The manual helped, but it was still a little confusing on how to attach straps to main body. Again, the “how-to” video helped a lot.- I think, it’s a little “finicky” when I try to adjust straps. Eventually, I’ve figured out that I should tighten the straps pretty hard – about the same as carrying a small back pack. This way the “posture detection system” works a lot more precise.- the box it came in is not pretty – just a simple brown box. Conclusion:If you take some time and figure out exactly how to use it, it will be the best investment ever. It kind of does 2 things in one: it works as standard shoulder brace and then the “smart” part does your training.

Fixing my posture now
I am wearing Smart Back Brace as I type this. For my work I sit a lot in front of the computer and unfortunately always slouch my shoulders. I’ve tried various devices such as those lower back chair supports, but they are very uncomfortable. I couldn’t sit with those for more than a few minutes. Also, it wasn’t as much my lower back or my sitting position in general, but, rather, my slumped shoulders. Anyhow, Smart Back Brace pulls my shoulders back. Also, it vibrates, if I start to slouch them. I’ve only received it yesterday. Therefore, I have not yet finished my “training program.” As the results I can’t say if it will permanently fix my posture. But it looks promising so far.
