Smooth flowing and easy to handle

It was a treat to myself and I have not been disappointed. I did have to query, prior to purchase, that it is suitable for ink cartridges, which it is. It works beautifully and is a delightful purchase.

The media could not be loaded.  As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon.This Waterman Hémisphère Fountain Pen arrived in a sturdy blue Waterman box, also inside the box is 1 blue ink cartridge.I ordered this fountain pen as I have always liked to write with them, I think they add something to the look of your writing, and when my wife noticed I use one she would always ask to borrow it, especially when she goes out with her friends, so when I saw this I just had to get it for her.When my wife opened the box and saw the pen, she absolutely loved the colours, she said it was perfect for her and will match quite a few of her clothes and bags.The pen weighs 22.72grms and feels very nice in the hand, I always like to place the cap of the pen on the end of the barrel when writing, as I think this helps with the balance, and looks more elegant than without. The length is 13.72cm as it comes out of the box, and with the cap on the end of the barrel its 15.03cm.As for writing, well it’s a Waterman, and it writes really smoothly as do my other Waterman pens, the ink just flows out of the nib perfectly.I could go through everything that’s in the listing description but I’m sure you have already read it before reading my review, so I won’t repeat it, you can see the unboxing in my video, this is just my personal experience.At the time of writing this review the price is £68.51, after doing a quick search I have found this to be a very good price.The one thing that did surprise me, there was not guarantee in the box or any other paperwork, and also only one ink cartridge, I feel this is a little bit mean for such a nice pen at this price for this model.The squares on the table I use when photographing and videoing items are 1cm squares, you can use them to help you judge the size of items I photograph.I hope you have found this review and video helpful.

The media could not be loaded.  I have used fountain pens for years and the Waterman have the best quality on the market.They write so smoothly, you don’t need to exert any pressure on it.This fountain pen is wonderful in quality and I love the purple. It’s lightweight, comfortable to hold and doesn’t cause too much friction on my fingers when writing for a long time. It requires a long ink cartridge (one is provided with the pen) that was easy to insert and change out.The box that it comes in is lovely and I store my pen in it. It has a compartment that you can store your spare cartridges in as well which is very useful.This would make a wonderful gift.

I like Waterman pens; they are true quality and a joy to use. I normally use a Waterman ball point pen and was interested in seeing how their fountain pens compared. It had been some years since I last used a fountain pen. This pen comes in the classic Waterman clamshell design box, I always keep my boxes for good pens and this one is no exception. There is an ink cartridge and manual underneath. The pen itself is made is a gorgeous shade of purple, a nice light purple that just so happens to match by favourite bag perfectly. The light and darker shades compliment each other well and look really nice against the gold. You can feel that this is a quality pen as soon as you pick it up, it feels sleek and balanced. The lacquer doesn’t just look amazing, it feels really nice to hold. This fountain pen uses cartridges, so much easier than using bottles of ink, you get the best of both worlds, the ease and convenience that you would see in a ballpoint and the beauty of writing with the lovely gold coated nib. There is something about using a nib that makes you want to write neater; I notice a difference in the presentation of my handwriting while using a nib. The nib is a medium nib which I really like, it glides across the page with ease. The lid fits securely, there is no chance of accidental uncapping in a pocket or bag. I really enjoy writing with this pen, it is one you will want to use and not just have on show as it was definitely made to write.

Waterman est. 1883, yet again lives up to it's age old reputation with this very polished example of a chic and sophisticated fountain pen, directed to those that prefer things pretty, vogue and stylish without compromising on functionality.It's well weighted and feels natural in my grasp, writing and scrolling with it is a breeze, I personally collect nice ones and this one is another well placed addition to my collection.Its nicely presented in a gift box which makes it highly giftable to a pen & paper aficionado who you deem to be special enough to warrant such a thoughtful gift, perhaps with some fine handmade paper to accompany the set..?You get one cartridge included with this set. This is a standard ink. Of course, you can  purchase the Waterman fountain pen ink convertor  and a bottle of  Waterman glass ink bottles  which are available in a selection of colours, this would make consequent ink purchases a little more cost effective - I'm always a stickler for finding a good deal - plus it lessens the impact of unnecessary plastic wastage.A beautiful crafted pen which is a joy to use and has already harnessed a dapple of comments when I've opted for its use in the meetings.5 stars

Perfect gift for a fashion-conscious lady of any age: the shape, as well as the choice of pink and purple colors are both perfect. Recommended!

Recipient loved it and in particular the colour purple is hard to find in a good pen. Reasonable price.
