I converted a stereo amplifier from 120V to 240V. Rather than finding/making a new six foot 12 gauge power cord with a NEMA 6-20P plug (one vertical and one horizontal tine), I bought this short extension cord that takes in most kinds of NEMA 5 and 6 120V and 240 V plugs as input.Works as designed, with solid connection to my existing extension cord and into the wall. Picture is of the 1 ft extension on my 6 ft power cord.

It was for a socket later I found just don't work. But I'm keeping anyway.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. It worked as expected.

Note that this shorty cord will ONLY FIT in the 20 amp receptacles that take one horizontal and one vertical prongs. It's clearly not an extension cord designed to offer a lot of reach, just a very short amount of extension.Seems well made and I haven't had any problems with it.

This cable is perfect is you just need a short extension. The quality seems good. It will work for you

It sends 240V to the 120V plug adapter. This does NOT do as advertised and covert to a 120V female plug. This is DANGEROUS.
