Purchased the craft kit as a Christmas present for a 8yr old. She absolutely loved it. Kept her entertained for hours.

Marbelling is a lovely activity, but very messy. This kit is not the best to be honest. Paint pot lids aren't great once inner label has been removed, so store away safely. Needed much more powder in water than stated to thicken it. Prepare well in advance of activity! Like a few days! Paints are very runny. Blue & green worked best. Lighter colours seemed to melt away in the water. Most of it just sank to the bottom, regardless of how much or little we used. Not as good as the oil paints I used to use with the squeezy pipette lids. Would not purchase again. Kids enjoyed it, but were a bit disappointed with their pictures.

Bought this as a gift and due to lockdown haven't seen it in action. no complaints from giftee though!

I'd love to be able to rave about this set, but we've tried and tried and it just doesn't work. The inks don't spread evenly or at the same speed when you put them on the thickened water. Strong colours work but the others basically vanish. The instructions are vague to say the least.And it's not like we're being chaotic or ignorant. We've watched videos and researched how we should be doing it and applied those to this kit and it still doesn't work well. We've tried searching on FAQs and problem solving sites and it still doesn't work.It's just not worth the hassle or disappointment.

This kit really does have everything you need, even fun extras like having a variety of tools for creating designs, like the multi-sided comb-like tool. The paper it comes with worked well. It even has a little clothes line with pins, to hang your artwork to dry.I recommend having additional paper on hand to work with, and gloves or tongues to retrieve the paper, other than that all you need is water.The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 is because the white ink had separated and could not be re-incorperated, no matter how much we shook the bottle.

We let it sit for close to 12 hours as recommended - every single color (besides black and blue) doesn't work whatsoever.We shook them until we were blue in the face, the colors do not work.On top of that, every single paint container is horribly designed, once the inner seal is removed it is impossible not to splatter everywhere, and the lids do not even stay put, there is 0 seal.I can't imagine even using the paints a second time and trying to shake them, we would have to plug them with our fingertips? Horribly cheap design. I am trying to decide if I should just toss the paints and buy new ones for the next time they want to try marbling, because there's no safe way to store these.$40 wasted!

The use of carrageenan to thicken the water may be cheap for the manufacturer, but it's a major PITA for the consumer. The paints are of very low quality. They don't float very well on the thickened water. Most of the paint ended up around the inside of the water pan. The "paper" included was more like card stock; thick, nubby and non-absorbent. The inks didn't adhere to it well at all.In short: Don't waste your money on this kit.
