A really lovely book to give as a christmas gift. Wonderful illustrations and a sweet story. Nice surprise to find the book larger than I had expected, with the hardback cover being more than 28cm by more than 26cm.

A lovely,happy Christmas story. And the detail in the pictures is wonderfull. Thimbles for buckets,acorn husks for lampshades,postage stamp for a picture.Where do all the ideas come from.Illustrations are wonderfull.Every time I look through it there is something else I missed before.Allways something else to look for. It makes me chuckle and smile and I am 60. Will it get as far as my grand daughter,I ask myself.Yes it will and I will continue to get lost in it each time I read it to her. A super,super proper childrens book. The Very Best Christmas Book Ever !!
