Rada Cutlery Tomato Slicer Knife, Silver Handle, Pack of 6

I love this knife. I like that it's long and handier to cut or slice vegetables, or whatever. It's now my go to knife. The only down side (according to my husband) is that you have to handwash this knife. Seriously? It couldn't be simplier to wash and dry. I love it so much (every time I cut something by hand) it wouldn't be in the dishwasher, I'd always be digging it out before it could by cycled thru anyway. I've even used it to cut my steak. It's sharp, which I love. The hubby cut himself immediately, duh... it's a proper knife! I'm very pleased with price point, function, quality and durability. Recommend

Yes, it’s a knife. If you already have knives, do you need a special knife for tomatoes? Yes you do unless you have high quality knives AND keep them very sharp. These knives work very well for tomatoes, lemons etc.Several guys make these with very similar blades. This guy has a superior handle. If you’re holding a tomato while cutting it, you want firm control. It also looks nice.I rinse it off and wipe dry to clean. I kept the sleeve it came in for storage. Otherwise if you dumped it in a drawer, you might accidentally grab the bidness end when you’re looking for it. Not good.All in all a superior product.

This is a tomato knife. I was asked to rate its versatility, but this is not what you want for slicing an apple. It has a thin blade that's razor sharp for piercing the skin of a tomato and slicing the flesh without squishing it. Everyone in the South has one of these knives in the drawer for fresh-tomato season and the making of BLTs and tomato and mayo sandwiches. This brand makes a good tomato knife.

This knife is perfect for slicing into tomatoes or peppers. Im glad I found it and read reviews before purchasing. Its very sharp.

I have had a few Rada knives over the years and really like them I also have two of the "regular" Rada knives in our motorhome that we use as steak knives. If my current Heinkle knives ever wear out, I will buy a complete set of Rada knives. This tomato slicer also does a good job of peeling the tomato before slicing.If you are not familiar with Rada, buy one, they are inexpensive. They are found at Market Days type affairs, craft fairs, etc. They hold an edge.

I had a great utility knife from A popular brand But unable to find it anywhere I figured I would give this knife a try I wanted a knife to cut tomatoes, vegetables, bread, meat, etc. I tried this on the tomato and it cut like butter. You can make very thin slices. Hopefully it will last because I’ll be using this a lot.

Don’t hesitate to buy. They stay sharp, I put mine in the dishwasher and have used these for 60 years. My go to wedding shower gift, I buy a set of these.

This knife cuts through tomatoes without smashing them. I can get exactly what thickness with this knife, since it slices through easily. Pleased with my purchase!

Not that long ago, I would have thought buying a specialty knife JUST for cutting a tomato to be, well, dumb. Until now. Today my knife arrived and although people say this all the time about all kinds of things and people, in this specific instance it's really true: the photos don't do this knife justice. It's not only beautiful (the metal almost shimmers) it cuts through a tomato like it's air. I hadn't given much thought to how my other knives kind of crush the tomato before finally breaking through the skin to slice it. This knife is not only super razor sharp, it's super thin so can make the slices super thin as well. It also as a satisfying weight to it, which makes it a pleasure to handle and cut with. Seriously, buy this tomato knife. You won't regret it.
